  1. Odor’s base running decision there stinketh.
  2. Yup, Vavra has a short compact swing and he has a good command of the strike zone for a hitter.
  3. Why, because Bradish had one subpar inning in which he allowed a HR? It happens to the best of them.
  4. Does it matter? Never stopped the old man in the past. Of course, no one wants ownership meddling, but the reality may be different. And that’s what I had complained about for years with PA, and now it’s purely speculation as to whether Elias is “on board” with the plan. There’s no way to know. What’s his choice, to quit? Say no, I’m doing it my way? Elias goes along to get along until ownership can be made to see that the difference he’s made with the development of the facility in the DR and his drafting, not to mention his waiver claims, have turned them into a competitive team and it’s now time to move. They need to supplement with FA and that doesn’t mean handing out ridiculous contracts to one or two guys for ridiculous money. A key signing of a FA pitcher might put them over the top. Ownership should note that things have changed and act accordingly. The time is now.
  5. I’d forgotten about him. He pitched once later in the season, striking out two in his only appearance.
  6. This….and of course they have guys to play 1B. It’s easy, they’ll teach them.
  7. Apparently, the Dodgers just don’t have enough talent. But my, how the tables have turned.
  8. But Nevin is a MLer? I don’t get Nevin’s Place on this team. He has bad hands and slow feet, a bad combination for a guy playing 3B despite the nice play he made tonight.
  9. Holly crap! See, Brown is rubbing off on me. I’ve been reduced to joking while they’re is a game on.
  10. I hope RM’s bat is heating up. That would be huge.
  11. Well, let’s see if he’s ready to step up and accept more responsibility. I advocated for this, so….
  12. Ok, so that was funny. Brown said,”Biggio is 0-3 tonight,” then he promptly smacked a line drive into CF and a split second later Brown said,” Biggio is 1-4 tonight.” Good timing…. When he’s on point he’s easy listening.
  13. ….with good cause, mind you.
  14. Eh, I’m old. At some point it all sounds like complaining!
  15. So has mine, but I’m not complaining.
  16. Sure would like to see a combination of him and Henderson at SS and 2B before that happens. You’re trading him in the off season before seeing GRod or Hall? Maybe next year they have the pitching. Maybe Verlander is available. I think Elias has chosen to supplement pitching by adding through FA thereby reducing the need to trade talent for pitching, but it’s a good tool for his belt in case he needs it.
  17. The Yankees know about Odor at 3B. More to the point, why the heck would the Orioles move him around the diamond when better players should be up?
  18. Not a bad idea. Probably doesn’t have a long term future in the OF.
  19. Is Urias a better defensive second baseman than Vavra? Haven’t seen enough of Vavra in the minors to make an assessment. And nowhere do I see the name Odor. Imagine that. Westburg? Where do you see him?
