  1. Home run Joey Ortiz! First of his career, I think
  2. It's hard to take a lineup seriously when Tyler Nevin is one of the better hitters in it, but their pitching is legitimate and the back end of their bullpen is scary.
  3. But when Santander gets hot or Adley goes on a power run someone else might start slumping. Cowser is not going to have a 1.139 OPS forever, nor will Mountcastle likely end the year with a .385 OBP. I think this offense is about as good as anyone could have hoped for.
  4. I don't know, with two outs I think it's worth the risk. Staying on first means counting on Rengifo to deliver an XBH or Rengifo and Neto to both get hits, neither of which are very likely against Kimbrel.
  5. He should have come right after Adell. No way was he touching Kimbrel's fastball in the upper part of the zone.
  6. What did Kremer do to piss off the bullpen? First Cano blows the save after his gem in Pittsburgh, then they turn Kremer's 1-0 game into a blowout in KC, now they do their best to blow a 6-1 lead.
  7. Unlike the rest of us, he doesn't have the option of walking away and going to sleep. He has to describe this turd for the next two hours so I don't really have an issue with whatever he wants to babble about.
  8. Angels have handed now Rodriguez maybe the worst two starts of his career.
  9. "The J is silent, the bat is not!" --Kevin Brown, soon
  10. It was stressful at the end but bottom line they won the Reid Detmers game. Can't wait to throw eight lefties and Jordan Westburg at Canning tomorrow.
  11. It's first base, so the advantage Urias offers isn't that big. If it was outfield it would be different.
  12. Wow, Kevin, it's almost like naming the team "The Angels" wasn't a coincidence.
  13. O'Hearn not pinch hitting is ridiculous. Don't tell me we need Urias's 1B defense. (Watch him make another great play to make me look dumb.)
  14. That was just a really good AB by Schanuel to take two close pitches and swing at something he could drive. Baumann needs to go.
  15. I've never seen anyone give up as many 0-2 hits as Baumann.
  16. I had to check Gameday to see if that last pitch from Baumann was a legit strike. It was.
  17. Ohtani watching that double play and saying "Yep, that's why I'm not there anymore."
  18. Where was Moose when he mentioned that Cedric Mullins flew out to "his Team USA teammate" Mike Trout? That's gotta be the Kevin Browniest call of the night so far.
