  1. In a recession, I suspect you would be quite surprised what would happen with crypto.
  2. Interestingly they’re all projecting Davis to have a higher OPS than he put up the last two years. It’s still terrible (about the same as Wilkerson) but odd to see any optimism there.
  3. That’s one of the best things we could ever hope to read. Our loss is the team’s gain!
  4. I won’t be the least bit surprised if we finish in the bottom five with this pitching staff and our Not Ready For Primetime offense.
  5. Cespedes said he stepped into a hole on his 88-acre ranch in Florida, and claimed he wasn’t riding a horse when it happened (which must be prohibited). But if they knocked $10 mil off his salary, the team must have had evidence to the contrary.
  6. That's a great list, thank you very much for that information.
  7. To steer away from the uncivility, and because I'm genuinely curious, do you or any others here know what vegetarian options there are on offer, aside from the obvious ones like nachos, fries, etc.? I usually bring my own food, or wind up with the pizza (which is, without fail, consistently unimpressive). But there have been times when I would have loved to have a veggie burger or veggie dog option. Sometimes I can't bring my own food and just don't feel like spending two innings walking the stadium to try and scout for one.
  8. Jon Miller was (and is) one of my favorite announcers. His voice could melt butter and I love his delivery. Lowenstein was my favorite color announcer. I wish there were more of his games archived.
  9. I understand the complicated decisions you’re facing, Tony. And just to throw another two cents into the pot, this is the main site that I turn to for the only team I care about in the only sport I follow. So this message board is something I deeply appreciate. And obviously a lot of others do too. As others have said, if the money makes a difference, I’m willing to pay more. But I know it’s not just about the money. Either way, it’s important that you know how much gratitude many of us have for the OH, an oasis on the Internet where I don’t have to read through ignorant or outright hateful comments, where politics are put aside, and it’s just about our beloved Birds and not much else...as it should be. I have always disliked posthumous tributes... if you like someone, celebrate them while they’re here. So thank you, and I hope you find the energy and motivation to keep this site going for many more years.
  10. That would actually be an interesting addition: if the three batter rule was waived if your reliever gives up a homer to either of the first two batters.
  11. I get my 50 ticket punched this June. I think the modern measurement of aging is when you click on those drop-down website menus to select your year of birth and realize you have to keep scrolling and scrolling.
  12. Out of curiosity, what’s the consensus on next year’s top draft picks? Is there someone who stands head and shoulders above the rest that we have to hope we can get if we sink below Detroit, or are there several frontrunners?
  13. Ironically you didn’t like an opinion here and yet felt compelled to reply to it. Thank you for your input, Mrs. Santangelo.
  14. I just checked last night’s score. Wojciechowski absolutely tore apart the Red Sox “A” lineup last night. That was domination. I’m going to watch this now on mlb.tv.
  15. It said he resigned, so I thought he pulled a Colby Rasmus and quit baseball. Maybe it should be “re-signed”.
  16. So he’s simply gone into sideburnation?
  17. If I was Floor, I’m not sure if I’d feel honored by that or not. I mean, if a bunch are in her house, is she allowed in good conscience to kill them?
  18. If Orioles attendance keeps trending down, maybe the team could play half their home games next year at Leidos Field / Ripken Stadium.
  19. Lost Cause helped me get past a toxic relationship some years back. It still stops me cold every time I hear it. Great song.
  20. Seriously? By 2019 standards, this is a very good outing for the club. I would be quite content if every O’s starter could go 5 and only give up 3. So far, Means looks pretty good even on his off days.
  21. At least they didn’t introduce the Disabled Hitters List, sponsored by DHL. It could be worse.
  22. Really nice outing. He’s been impressive this year, especially on a pitching staff that give up 5-1/2 runs a game.
  23. That’s my thinking. I want them to play hard and to see some development on the youngest guys, but I don’t necessarily need to see them win many games right now. The difference between the #1 pick and #4 pick next year is a potential long term game changer. Whether Ynoa starts are stays in the bullpen this year, or things like that, makes zero difference.
  24. Does anyone know if Davis is using a lighter bat? Just curious as he looks thinner this year and his bat speed looked down in the past year or two, so if he’s turning faster with the same piece of lumber that’s impressive. Either way I like what I’m seeing.
