  1. I also gave up drinking soda pops a few years ago. I mainly drink tap water every day. A cup of coffee in the morning. My health has been better and I feel better. BTW, also lost a few pounds.
  2. Curious minds want to know. Where is the body buried?
  3. That sounds like a reasonable plan.
  4. Not concerned about his "stamina". He pitched 122.2 innings last year between college and rookie league. Barring any injury setbacks I think 140-150 innings this year is not unrealistic.
  5. Never really understood why a rebuilding Blue Jay's team DFA'd him. But, what do I know?
  6. Being a Razorback fan, I can tell you this guy is an absolute bulldog on the mound. Fingers crossed that his stuff plays at the pro level.
  7. For all any of us know, his illness could be life-threatening or not. I find any joking concerning his unknown condition despicable.
  8. Really? Geez. Now go ahead and get your coveted last word on the subject. Promise I won't reply.
  9. Just making my point. Didn't mean to offend .
  10. Good point. But we do know what the service time rules are in the present. Keeping him in the minors for just a matter of weeks can give the organization an extra year of team control.
  11. O's won't sacrafice a year of service time on bringing Diaz north on the opening day 25-man roster. It would be foolish.
  12. Didn't Ponson punch a judge in Aruba? Or something like that.
  13. I'm not so sure that the MLBPA would allow a settlement. Is there a precedent for such a settlement? I don't know.
  14. Very sound reasoning. A solid return for the Orioles.
  15. I don't have a problem with the Cashner signing. He's basically a #4 starter on a decent contract. I think with the plethora of pitchers in camp they hope to catch "lightning in a bottle" with one or two of them. Possibilities would include Cortez, Wright, Ynoa, Mesa, and Harvey. I look for them to be aggressive with Harvey.
  16. Could it possibly be Orimiobly (or however you spell his name). He's been linked to the O's for awhile.
  17. Think the O's will take the "best player available" right here (I know I'm going out on a limb here ). It just seems to be the path the O's are taking in the early part of this draft.
  18. The Red Sox now have our top-pitching prospect (maybe aside from Bundy). The Skankees have the most dominant relief pitcher in all of MLB. The O's front office absolutely "blew it" on this deal. The Red Sox more than the Skankees are laughing at us right now. I think I understand DD's "we're all in for this year" attitude. I, in some way, have to commend him for that. He "rolled the dice" and in the "short-run" it paid off, but in the "long-run" it came up "snake-eyes". Forget Cruz or Markasis, the O's top priority should have been Andrew Miller, but alas he is now the Yankees shut-down relieiver. Just really hard to justify the trade since the O's apparently did not make a serious offer for Miller.
  19. This division I think is gonna be a real "dogfight" this season.
