I hope we get both of these guys back. I'm a big fan of both Pop and Fenter. Both guys have gone through TJ surgery and they each had "electric" arms. I guess the "had" part of the equation is what caused them to be left unprotected.
I hate losing both these guys. Pop was part of the Machado deal and Fenter was a million dollar bonus baby in the draft a few years ago. I felt like Pop would get selected, but was really hoping Fenter would get overlooked.
You are correct. Bottom line is though, that MLB has yet to make an official announcement concerning the 2021 draft. Don't really expect an announcement anytime soon. You might say the situation is "fluid".
I'm just guessing that MLB is waiting to see to what extent the pandemic affects the 2021 college baseball season. I think 20 rounds is probably the best case scenario.
Curious to see how much (if any) interest other teams might have in Nunez. I think he will clear waivers and elect free agency. I could see some team offering him a minor league contract with an invite to ST. That's probably his best case scenario.

It's been a long time ago that MLB Owners rebuffed his effort to buy the Cubs. He has since proven himsrlf an effective owner in the NBA. I agree he is a longshot, but he would be an exciting owner.
I know it's a longshot, but Mark Cuban has long desired an MLB franchise. No doubt he could put together a strong ownership group. Just wonder if he would want to move the team south?
