Exactly. Mono is no joke. My brother had it and almost had to get his spleen removed. I don’t pretend to be a medical professional, but I’d qualify that as “serious”. Obviously that’s an extreme case, but I’m sure it’s still affecting AR or has until very recently.

The need to protect players on the 40-man, combined with the fact that he'll finally be blocking players from being called up (Mancini to first full-time lets us bring up Hays if warranted and Mountcastle as DH), makes me think/hope/pray that they finally cut their losses with Davis in the off-season.

Would almost take a walk over a hit for Mountcastle these days. He’s shown the latter isn’t an issue.

I think he’s gone by May 2020. At that point, he’ll most likely be blocking someone, whether at DH or the roster in general. Getting Mancini to first base and out of right field improves our D and opens up a place to put Hays/Stewart. If Mountcaste comes up, he can DH.

True, I was speaking more from a pitching standpoint. I love that McCoy and Adam Hall are having good years.
