  1. Santander was a "we can stash him on the DL and give him September reps" pick, while Tavarez was pretty much "taking a flyer" that didn't work out in the Spring.
  2. If his bat came around, he could possibly provide some use elsewhere after Rutchsman gets to Baltimore. If not...Cya.
  3. Might want to check the math on that one, especially the second half of the season.
  4. Roch mentioned it somewhere, but Diaz doesn't have to be protected until next year, same as Wells.
  5. https://www.camdenchat.com/platform/amp/2019/11/22/20977080/chance-sisco-swing-miss-strikeout-2020?utm_campaign=camdenchat&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&__twitter_impression=true Camden Chat broke down Sisco's batting from the last season, especially the second half.
  6. I'm wondering, how is Jharel Cotton Rule 5 eligible? Is there a certain amount of time in the Majors a play has to be before they are no longer eligible, or is it that he was outrighted to the Minors?
  7. I don't think trying to copy Dan Clark counts.
  8. 3 of those teams aren't like the other. Severino, at best, might get a "Player To Be Named Later", with some International money, like De Leon did today for the Rays. All I'm saying is, even if he does get traded, there is no prospect coming back. At best, some teams A League excess.
  9. With Coach Hyde liking players who can play multiple positions, I would keep an eye on Trent Giambrone. He was in AAA last season, can play second, short, and outfield and was in the Cubs Top 30.
  10. Chirinos is a free agent. A team could get him on a MiLB deal with a Spring Training invite, instead of dedicating a 40 man spot to Severino.
  11. If they sign Pelham for for 1.23 million... Does that mean they took Pelham for 123?
  12. If Severino gets traded, I don't see it happening during the off season, with the free agents out there. If a team loses its starter during the Spring, then he could be a trade option.
  13. Reyes could write a book about "Top 10 *Insert Activity* Spots in Frederick."
  14. I've watched Cumberland play quite a bit in Bowie since he was acquired. His bat didn't seem to be a big deal and his defense didn't look good. Atleast with Sisco, he had a good bat in the minors. Cumberland seems like a switch hitting version of "Sisco Lite."
  15. Wasn't the only update they had that he would be able to resume baseball activities at the end of Spring? If so, there is no chance he is making the Opening Day roster.
  16. I saw, but it doesn't change much. Those tickets were mainly purchased by companies anyway.
  17. One thing that looks interesting is "Selfie Day." This is something a few other teams do, where Season Ticket Members get onto the warning track and can take pictures with players. This seems to replace the "Mid Season Autograph Session" that was missing last season. No mention of gate times though.
  18. No, but (wishful thinking here), if a lot of people sign it, maybe it can show a bit that fans aren't going to go along with this and instead of spending money for the MLB teams, they would rather go to their Independent Leagues or ignore baseball with their money all together. MLB is looking for money here. Plain and simple.
  19. With the release of Collin Woody and Chris Madera, this makes sense. Those were two of the "players who are learning to coach and act as Development Coaches."
  20. Anyone want to put up and sign a petition to try and keep the Minors the way it is, in terms of teams? http://chng.it/KmzRZxt6
  21. Selfishly, I'd rather hack off Norfolk or Delmarva, as the entire "Frederick/Bowie/Baltimore/Aberdeen" section is within very reasonable driving distance.
  22. Along with taking his teammates advice on batting against certain pitchers while at home. Can't underestimate the value of...Veterans.
  23. I can not post my actual response, due to forum rules.
