  1. Agreed. Again, why was KG not playing tonight?
  2. Why want KG playing after a clutch hit? His d is stellar, if he can only get his bat going and when he does, they don’t play him? Maddening. Urias is not a 3b. SS/2b. I think his bat will come around, not terribly worried there. More worried about these daily lineups and why Owings is still here. Play KG at 3b and bring up Nevin to platoon.
  3. Love your posts btw. My thing is why is Odor here though? Makes zero sense. He’s not bringing back some high grade prospect st the deadline….
  4. Even Brady House with Nats off to a great start, both premium SS (some debate if House isn’t a 3b) but still will have more career WAR than our pick I predict. Corner OFers aren’t exactly hard to come by, picking them in the first is another head scratcher, 2 years in a row! (From what I have read, Cowser doesn’t stick at CF, but can play there). Nothing against Kerjstad or CC but when rebuilding a club, why are you taking corner OFers in the first round?!?!
  5. I have no issues with any of them (will admit I don’t know a lot about Diplan), but Watkins/Lakins….another story.
  6. Lawlar off to a great start. Word is Arizona was speechless we didn’t take him. But hey, Elias is smarter than everyone… https://www.milb.com/player/jordan-lawlar-691783
  7. He’s the pick but like the last 2 drafts, Elias will fumble the football trying to prove he’s smarter than everyone. Still pissed about Lawlar.

  9. Great post. I love Gutierrez too. Happy to see the clutch hit yesterday. He was hitting well in ST but hasn’t played consistently since, puzzling. I would like to see him get more consistent playing time.
  10. My .02: I wouldn’t blame Steve or Roch, great people. This org isn’t exactly a well oiled machine:)
  11. Thanks Tony. Prob misremembering. He looks grossly overmatched. Seems like a head scratching move, curious what I am missing given the lack of signings in the offseason.
  12. My bad. I was trying to ask Tony. Agreed, if Nevin can keep hitting and not embarrass himself at 3b…
  13. Sir: curious your thoughts on Owings. You made a comment about him being a Sig guy. I would love to hear more of your thoughts on him. Some is discussed in Owings thread.
  14. Yes, posted in a few threads. During the Norfolk telecast they said he could see action as soon as the weekend and next step is live bp which would likely come in a day or two.
  15. I dread agreeing with Sports Guy, but spot on. A veteran pitcher like Archer or similar would have gone along way, not just for performance but for mentoring. I think his offseason choices were derelict of duty, absolutely sickening. His choice of Colton over Lawlar is insanity. Kerjstad over Lacy, mind boggling. His players overall are good but that first round…(except Adley). If he doesn’t take Jones this year.. And the Matt Harvey signing? Not a good look. Also when you are the #1 farm system, maybe leverage that for guys you perceive as weak to acquire talent (minor trades). Haven’t seen any of that. Blowing it up is relatively easy, but not seeing any promising signs from the next steps of the rebuild.
  16. Per the Norfolk telecast yesterday, could be by the end of the week after he does live bp.
  17. Agreed! At 37, lock this guy up long term lol. Pitch framing is amazing!
