Did you happen to see the numbers I posted in the other thread? It is an cold hard fact that the teams that spend more, have a far greater chance of winning a championship. I didn't make the numbers up they are what they are. You don't spend, you don't win trophies. Do I want them to just spend for the hell of spending? Nope. Do I realize that history shows the more you spend increases your chances to win? Yep. I'm trying to stack the deck in my favor any way I can. And good, established players tend to do that when they are on your team! But they cost money! I hope you can wrap your head around this extremely complicated concept. Oh and could you remind me what the payroll of the 2 teams in the World Series is right now? -

The Orioles made it to the postseason three times during Cal’s 21 years as a major leaguer. They were mediocre to ok for most of his career. -
Hard to be a baseball fan and not want to watch a bunch of games featuring 4 top 10 players in the game. Postseason baseball is better than any other post season sport, it's just so built on the pitch by pitch tension. Why does everyone hate the Dodgers? -

They have the worst cap situation in the league outside of maybe Cleveland. They are done for several years. They need to trade anyone they can that doesn’t hurt them.
