It was deeper then where Thomas picked up the ground ball. The situations are the same. If you want the team to be aggressive they are both good plays. Nick's ball was very shallow. MM gets pounded here and to me, he was pushing the action there.

I don't want the team to be blindly aggressive, I want them to be smart. MM no longer has the speed to make plays like that, he should know this but evidently he does not. AJ does have the speed to make plays like that.

I think another important thing to look at is if Matt is having good at-bats and productive outs. The hits will come, but it sure is nice to see him not pully a Wiggy.
