  1. I thought I heard they lost the last two games too.
  2. This is probably very true.
  3. Oy this umpire is bad. At least that one was in our favor.
  4. Truth. Brad Brach and Mike Devereaux say hello!
  5. Somebody tell Kevin Brown we've last our last three games, not two.
  6. Oh it's soothing as hell. I just woke up from my 4th nap during this game.
  7. Cleveland has a deep playoff team bullpen. We have an early exit playoff bullpen.
  8. Dave Johnson could definitely have a career in putting people to sleep who can't fall asleep easily.
  9. Really MASN? You're going to start throwing in commercials between batters now with split screen? Good freakin Lord, is anything sacred anymore?
  10. This team starts Mullins, Urias and McCann in the same game and wonders why it's not scoring many runs of late. Blackhole.
  11. Baseball can be hard and man, Westburg is having a bad game at the plate.
  12. Decent start overall by Povich, especially after the first inning.
  13. Sure Dave, that was in the stomach!
  14. Parker's was in the air but about the same distance. Every time I hear this call I think of the awful take by Joe Garagiola who made that play about the tag from Carter vs one of the best throws from an outfielder in All-Star history.
  15. Povich settling in now for sure. Getting more pitches over.
  16. That was a textbook outfield throw. That should be used to show young outfielders how to set up and throw guys out.
  17. Well they did give as a bag full of AAAA players for Givens a few year ago, maybe they can do us a solid and we'll give them a bag full of AAAA players for Quantrill.
  18. Thanks, and you are right. We don't see everything so the more offending posts are reported the easier and faster we can take care of things. I had to give a repeat offended a long suspension because I was tired of him obviously going against the rules. Thank you to all the people that stay civil and help keep this place the best place on the internet to discuss the Orioles.
  19. He's still pitching pretty well despite his last starts not being great. He might come cheaper because he's a free agent and the Rockies have nothing to play for this year. Maybe a guy like Norby would get him? Norby might hot bombs out in Colorado!
  20. That could only happen if they have a VISA open and they probably don't. Besides, the FCL season ends early this year (July 25th). It would be cool if they did because if he hit will he's be on track to hit Delmarva at 19 next year. He still could if they think he's that advanced, but remember, we all have to take these DSL stats with a grain of salt. But he's having a heck of a start to his professional career.
  21. That's not the choices. I said I would be willing to trade Westburg because Mayo is ready to take his place and of course I also said they would need a big return to include controllability for three or more years. Saying that, I would not be surprised if Mayo out WAR's Westburg from 2025-2030.
  22. I'm ok with whatever the Orioles want to do. They know whether he would be a problem in their clubhouse or not. He clearly would be able to help them with all of their pitching woes, but I will defer to Elias and Hyde on this one. If they don't sign him, they've decided the juice is not worth the squeeze. I don't think it has anything to do with the charges or the lawsuits, but more about whether his personality and antics fit on this team. I would think if they did he would have gotten a call already.
  23. I don't have Basallo's statcast numbers, but everything points to this guy going to be an absolute monster major league hitter. He hasn't even grown into his man strength yet and he's hitting balls 450 feet. I know I've said this before, but Basallo may be the #1 prospect in the organization right now. Yes, I said it. I like Holliday, and I think he's going to be very good to great player one day, and he's pretty untouchable for me too, but I think Basallo is going to be that good. To me, the only position players that are off the table to discuss are Gunnar, Adley, Holliday, Mayo, and Basallo. And yes, I left off Westburg even though he's pretty close to being untouchable. That's only because I think Mayo is ready to be the everyday 3B. Now Westburg would require an ace type starter with at least 3 years of controllability in my opinion plus a center field or 2B positional prospect, but I would at least listen. Kjerstad, Cowser, Norby, McDermott, Beavers, Bradfield Jr., DeLeon or one of the young International guys with promise are all guys that could have value. They are all the guys I would consider for various levels of bullpen or starter help.
  24. Cowser is a better defender than Kjerstad range wise and has a much stronger arm, but Cowser's throwing accuracy has become an issue. Kjerstad is a little awkward out there and his arm is very inconsistent and doesn't have a ton of strength, but he's moving well enough to cover ground and catches everything he gest to. At this point though, Cowser's bat is putting him on the bench.
