Agree with this. Didn't seem like the writer was overly pushing it. I think all three replies were appropriate and the writer left it alone. If he had pressed the issue, I could understand someone being upset about it.
If we continue to hit like we have been, this could be a long series. The Yankees are fighting for their playoff lives. Having Judge back could give them the shot in the arm they need to get going.
I could see your scenario playing out, but if he tears up Bowie the rest of this season, there's no need to send him back there.
He could start in Norfolk next spring and be up in a couple of months if he's still hitting.
Could Hall be the reliever we need this season? If I'm the Orioles, I'm certainly not banking on that, but it would be a nice idea to get him up here in August.
The only upgrade I could see is DFA'ing Mateo and brining up Ortiz at this point. Or, if they don't bring up Ortiz, using Mateo's spot to bring in a veteran bat of some sort.
Lorenzen's numbers aren't bad. His FIP and WHIP are pretty decent. His walk rate is low, but his K rate is a little below what you'd like.
All that being said, I'm not sure where this upgrades the rotation. The only reason I could see this happening is because they are planning to move Wells to the bullpen.
I think he has good "stuff", he just lacks command. I don't think he's a guy you target in a pennant race, but possibly one you'd target in the off-season.
