I don't think it's close. Fry's stuff is nasty. Hart is one of those guys that needs to be perfect with his location. Fry has enough zip on the fastball that he can get away with a mistake or two.

I think the only thing Dan did wrong (and I'm not sure that he did do it) was inform the Orioles that he was approached about the job up front. Dan was looking at a promotion, and generally, that's allowed in baseball circles, except if you are under contract with the Orioles.

I think DD has been handcuffed since his ill-fated Toronto gambit. I wonder if these last few years have hurt his credibility? It would be a shame if it did.

Agree with you on this. He's a nice player, but definitely one we should have saved some cash on. I was thinking he could get around 1.5 and we'd be able to go after some of these HS guys we drafted.

It's a shame the Cubs aren't really a good fit with us. They don't have the young talent we need.
