  1. Adam is interviewed on a lot of Orioles podcasts I follow and is very knowledgeable on all things in Bowie. I think it's partially the excitement in his voice because he seems to love what he does.
  2. You made me look this one up....his stats jump out, but 14th in WAR. Interesting. https://www.baseball-reference.com/awards/awards_1987.shtml#NL_MVP_voting_link
  3. If you take out the H2H games, the O's are probably better against the rest of the league.
  4. Casey Kotchman would have handled it better than this current crop.
  5. Maybe they promote Cumberland and AR at the same time so they both get playing time...
  6. Nice performance last night except for the walks. 4 inn, 1 h, 4 BB, 3 K.
  7. I was trying to remember when this was this weekend. Not sure why it was on my mind, lol. I think we were in (unexpectedly) playoff contention before that...Very disappointing ending.
  8. When you're this bad, the "not trading in the division" goes out the window. Nice career recovery Cedric...Good Luck in NY.
  9. Of course the MLB article mentions his 3K's as well (21 K's in 71 AB's (29.5%))
  10. Nope...and he was still at the hotel.
  11. This is why we need to trade Means and Mancini...
  12. I disagree...they always come back when the team wins. I'm sure I'm not the only one who had family talking about the Orioles non-stop during the Buck years and now it's crickets. The Diehards will always pay attention (guilty).
  13. The Dodgers hat made me laugh/cringe. They had like 16 zip codes.
  14. Agree with the consensus...Thank him and trade him. If KC offers a package, at least consider sending him home.
  15. I agree 100%. I don't see how his players respect him after those comments (besides the WS rings).
  16. I think we can blame this on 2 people...Tony LaRussa & Joe Maddon. Tony started it with the power/specialized RP's & Joe started the massive shifts which led to players changing swings, etc..
  17. In all seriousness with the video game numbers, how long do you leave him in AA if this continues?
  18. Inside the Yard is an excellent podcast. Thanks for the reminder. I subscribe to so many that some get lost. Hope this leads to finally getting some full potential out of our pitchers..
  19. I enjoyed the article and enjoy watching him pitch. That being said, I'm trading him for the best offer come 7/31. He's 36...I'm sure we could probably get a top 100 from someone.
  20. Take off the 5-5 game in Boston and he's not a .300 hitter..
  21. One of my favorite players retired on 5/28 after a "miserable" start..which by todays standards he would bat 5th for the Orioles. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/schmimi01.shtml
  22. Anyone going to Texas this weekend? I'm driving down for Saturday's game. It looks like they are now forecasting Plutko to start. Before the DH, Kremer was on track. Either way, I worked on the new stadium for a year and get to see my O's play there. I'll be 2 rows back in RF. BTW...love this resource that someone linked in a previous thread. https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/depth-charts/orioles
  23. Nicely done. I'd be tempted to take the top 3 teams and go under and the bottom 3 for the over...just because.
  24. I'm sporting the Orioles polo in OKC. They're all holidays...everyone is in 1st place.
