  1. Mayo looks overmatched and making errors. SSS but this is why you can't assume that a prospect is going to immediately have success at the major league level.
  2. Fair enough. I suppose I want not only dollar equality but I want the same system that is used to determine draft order. I don't understand why there should be any difference in the way teams select domestic players compared to how they select international players
  3. Just curious. Why "No" to an International Draft?
  4. I'm personally glad GRod spoke up instead of keeping it to himself
  5. I'm glad you're done. Because you've shown that you believe anyone outside of the US can jump to the front of the payroll line in advance of any domestic draft eligible prospect. I might think that because you're done you won't have anything else to say, but I know better than that. EDIT: And thanks for putting words in my post. Of course I want everyone to come over. But they should have the same privilege as any draft prospect. Ohtani and Yamamoto should have the same front door as Holliday and Rutschman.
  6. Yes... I do mean that. I'll slingshot it right back to you. What top international talent didn't go to the highest bidder? Let's put it close to home. What top international talent was ever an option for the O's?
  7. And stop putting Soto in high leverage situations?
  8. I suppose I want to equalize the playing field for #2. If they ran the domestic draft like they did the international draft, what top players would ever want to sign with the Marlins or A's or any small market team? I hate that signing all of the top international talent is all about the biggest pocketbook. Ohtani would have likely ended up with Detroit in the 2018 draft. Why should he get to pick where he goes when Casey Mize didn't get the same choice?
  9. He was somewhat average with PHI. He's horrid with us
  10. Soto entered the game with a 2 outs and a man on first and a 1-0 lead. He threw 28 pitches and gave up 4 hits and a walk and allowed 5 runs to score. If our pitchers weren't dropping like flies I'm wondering if this should be his last time on the mound for us.
  11. In order, these are my 3 wishes for MLB Robo Umps International Draft Trading of Draft Picks
  12. I wish Elias had drafted pitching in higher rounds. Maybe he can use a bunch of international cash to sign pitchers?
  13. We can't have nice things
  14. Lat Teres injury. Maybe a strain?
  15. What the heck does that mean?
  16. I'm pretty sure former Mets announcer Ralph Kiner said that a reliever was throwing up in the bullpen instead of "up throwing"
  17. When I lived in CT, I used to get blacked out of all NYY and BOS games on MLBTV. At the time they played 19 games per season each. Blacked out of 38 freaking games. Almost 25%. I tried all sorts of VPNs on my Roku, Fire Stick and laptop. It was hit or miss, but overwhelmingly miss. I don't know if it was the VPN stinking or MLB thwarting the effort, but it was frustrating Eventually the only reliable VPN was in Norton 360, and that was only on my laptop.
  18. I'm guessing that we would have to at least include one of the pitchers in the OP. And the pitcher acquired won't be at the level of a Burnes though right? Unless they are in their final year of the contract?
  19. Thanks! Can't wait to see him play.
  20. Where do you expect him to be assigned?
  21. Jagwar

    Promotions?

Where should we expect them to assign Honeycutt and by when?
  22. Well, if we see an injury to an outfielder he might be the next man up. Kjerstad still hasn't been in the lineup since getting sent down.
  23. I suppose all of the vitriol aimed at Holliday can now be re-aimed at Mayo until he comes around.
