  1. Very occasionally I'll hit a few into the woods off of my mat, but you know... things erode. My swing is like an octopus falling out of a tree.
  2. MY MAN. Those first two questions are mutually exclusive, unfortunately. There are TWO little ones now, so my golf horizon is still dark. I haven't played in probably two years.
  3. Doesn't look too good based on what I see.... hopefully it blows through sooner but it almost definitely won't start on time.
  4. I'm just grateful that I got to witness that performance yesterday. He was outstanding hitting his spots with his fastball. He did groove one in the 9th against the 2nd guy, who swung and missed. 92mph middle/middle - it was one of the few misses I saw him have with his fastball all day.
  5. Means doesn't pitch in the right market. Plus, to your point, he's got like 25 more starts God willing. Not to be a wet blanket or anything...
  6. I'm not Jim Palmer. Bedard had better breaking stuff, Means better changeup, similar fastballs.
  7. Not to diminish Means, I think he's fantastic. Legitimately. But this is more of a commentary of the organization's inability to develop pitching more than anything. At least I would think.
  8. It can be a little of both, but I think for most people this is a who cares. All due respect to what's his name and what's her name...
  9. He just looks completely uncomfortable out there.
  10. They must have Dish Network...
  11. Precisely my thoughts on every single one of these people.
  12. Pssssssssht, that's golfing weather... my kid is super pissed. He has no concept of rainouts. Similarly, I have no concept of non-rain rainouts.
  13. Probably not, but it would have freed up some money (perhaps just money headed for ownership's pockets, but whatever...) I just think there was a little too much affection for the core post-2016, which you can probably pin that on Buck. To me, it was clear after losing the play in game to Toronto that year that they were MAYBE the third best team in the division, but probably more likely the fourth best. The rest of the division was young and talented and you knew the Yankees wouldn't be down for long. It was pretty clear that as Ubaldo Jimenez walked off the mound, that core's window was closed. Britton was coming off of a once in a career year and it was crystal clear to any realist that Machado wasn't sticking around. They each had two years left before free agency. If those two deals went down that offseason, this organization would probably be farther along @ this point. No guarantees, obviously... but when you're the Orioles and you're never going to re-load via free agency / hand out enormous contracts, you have to be one step ahead. They weren't, and the rest is history. I do feel that has changed a bit with the current regime, but it remains to be seen obviously.
  14. Shoulda traded Machado & Britton post 2016.... I feel like I need to say that at least once a year.
  15. It lives. I asked my kid the other day who his favorite Oriole was and he said AUSTIN HAYS!!!!!!!!!! But he has no idea who Austin Hays is, I just tell him the names of most of the 26 man roster every night before bed. Hopefully by the time he's old enough to actually care, they're done tanking. And yes, I've evolved into a backwoods redneck. Y'all can keep those cities.
  16. You don't know if he's got a gun. You don't know if he's got an accomplice. You know that you're interacting with this person for a reason. My brother in law is a federal marshal, he's lost a partner to a kinder, gentler way of policing. Nobody every heard a whimper of that cop's life & death b/c the media doesn't give a **** about it. Cops getting killed just doesn't get the clicks. By the way, he's black. And he's one of the best fathers I've ever seen. That's what the black community needs, in my worthless opinion: family continuity. And I can promise you that #BLM is against that. https://blacklivesmatter.com/what-we-believe/ We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.
  17. Uh if you're a cop with a family and someone is reaching for your weapon.... you wouldn't shoot the perp?
  18. I don’t like when Pearl Jam tells me I’m an ahole for voting against Hillary Clinton, either. How about shut up and play Jeremy?!!! I didn’t pay $100 for tickets to listen to your punditry. Peace and blessings my friends! We are all O’s fans. At least we’ve got that in common. ??
