  1. Redzone is included in NFL+ which costs $16 per month. With NFL+ you also get NFL Network and live local games that air in your area on any channel. So, you get ESPN's MNF game without having ESPN. NBC's SNF without having NBC, etc.. You also can watch any game via replay 90 minutes after it finishes. That is how I watched the Colts/Ravens game this year as it wasn't shown in my local area. They do a pretty good job on NFL.com of blocking the scores if you choose that as an option. The only downside is I have to watch live games on my tablet. They don't show live games on the NFL app through my TV due to some contractual reasons. This is how I NFL.
  2. Those complaining about the unfairness of division winners getting knocked out early won't be complaining when the O's are a wild card team next year. My idea for a solution is a little bit different. To qualify for the playoffs a team must win 90 games. All teams that win 90 games are in. Get rid of "leagues" and just combine them in a tournament. This year 8 teams would have qualified. In 1982, only 5 make it. Figure out a format based on the number of teams and roll with it.
  3. At least he got out of it with minimal damage. Our guys need to respond.
  4. I wouldn't. They have to win all three regardless. I'd rather give Bradish his greatest chance and put pressure on Texas in a game five. Now, if Grod pitched well in his outing I would have used both Bradish in game four and Grayson in game five. Unfortunately, Grayson can't be trusted in such a role this year.
  5. O's haven't been swept all season. Just win tonight. Then win another. Do that and then they get a one game playoff at home with their ace on the mound.
  6. If you dislike Smoltz for his " boomer thing" you must really hate Palmer.
  7. Yes, but Webb is a waiver guy. He was let go by the Angels. Flaherty has a ton of playoff experience. Why is he on the roster if Hyde doesn't use him in an obvious spot where he should be used?
  8. Why is Webb making his second appearance while Flaherty sits? I would think this game was the perfect fit for a veteran calming influence. Oh well, too late now.
  9. Ok.. just pretend its 3-0 and move on. Plenty of game left.
  10. Bullpen did its job except for one bad pitch. Last chance for the home team.
  11. That was their chance. How do you not score with Chapman patching that poorly? Rangers may win this series with the Orioles hitting so poorly, but the Astros will roll over them.
  12. O's defense coming through in a close game. We have seen this script over and over during the season. Let's go O's!
  13. Thanks for the info everyone. Sling is the one streaming platform I qualify for the trial discount. Fits in with all my other streaming crap.
  14. I hear you, but this isn't some team that snuck into the wildcard. This team was the best team in the American League in the toughest division. This team was consistent and steady throughout the entire season. No long losing streaks. Didn't get swept the entire season. They are good. I expect the O's to work the count , get the Ranger 's starters to throw a lot of pitches, get to that bullpen, and win late. Sure, it's been a great year, and the Rangers are good; but the O's have been the best team in the AL. I expect to win this series. Having Bradish and Rodriguez setup and ready for games 1 and 2 is huge.
  15. MLB.tv forces you to link your network 'provider' to your account in order to watch on their app. Such a disgrace. NFL+ allows me to stream the games I would normally get in my local area. I get not broadcasting MASN games on their app, but NBC/ABC/FOX/FS1? Come on!
  16. So glad I pay for MLB.tv so I can not watch any of the playoff games. Rangers beat Rays in game one 4-0.
  17. So glad Toronto is in the other bracket. Not that Texas is any easier. I like playing a different division in the playoffs. It will probably be Tampa anyway.
  18. Losing Bautista sucks but the way Bradish, Rodriguez, and even Means have stepped up evens it out somewhat. I feel much better about the starters now than I did a month ago. They are peaking at the right time. My biggest fear is the hitting. They haven't scored a lot of runs down the stretch. Just glad they held off the Ray's so they can rest and get ready for the playoffs.
  19. I think you have to send Braddish out there for the ninth. Go with the hot hand.
  20. I never met Brooks. I did see him play at the very end of his career. I also remember attending "Thanks Brooks Day" in '77 after he officially retired. I still have the program and Norman Rockwell print. Brooks is the only player I have an autographed baseball from. The autograph is all faded now. Back in the day, my brother had a friend who worked somewhere Brooks was appearing. He brought me back the signed ball. Let's hope the current O's can do some damage in the playoffs and honor Brooks. A ws appearance would be something.
  21. Apple TV also has a 'great games' library which is both very sparse and very random. One game they have is the 1991 opening of New Comiskey Park - a game between the White Sox and Orioles. It is the full game with O's announcers Jon Miller and Jim Palmer. My son thought it was funny I was getting excited for an O's rally in a game from 32 years ago.
  22. What playoff rotation? The way the Orioles are stumbling there won't be any rotation.
  23. Huh? In 2019 the O's won 54, so Rome wasn't far off.
  24. What I wonder about Fuji is how did he end up on the low budget A's? If he was any good why weren't the Mets, Dodgers, Yankees, etc... in on him?
  25. Honestly, it's just the blonde hair and physique. Heston is 6'3 - 220lbs. Boog was 6'4 - 230lbs in his playing days.
