I think another huge aspect of the offseason is that we did not jam our roster or payroll with any long commitments - that deserves an A in itself. I see countless other teams now saddled with bad contracts for players that I had originally wanted the Orioles to sign. Elias is amazing!

I think people here overestimate AAA numbers and how they may or may not translate to the Majors. If you need a reminder, just look at Kyle Stowers.

Are your averages and percentiles against 2B or all position players? That may explain the WAR.

I think the needs of the major league team will start to have more consideration in these type of decisions. DL Hall could be useful in the bullpen right now with Givens and Tate on the shelf. If this were last year, I would say no need to rush him, but we are in win now territory.

Why not give Rutschman the opportunity to DH if McCann is in the lineup? I don't get this lineup.

The market at one point had META at $300 and TSLA at $400. Sometimes the market is irrational and you don't want to be left holding the bag. The Orioles are in a fantastic position, there is no need to take unnecessary risks right now.

I'm with you - I don't see why folks are doom and gloom right now. None of the FA pitchers are special and they all got paid like they are. Let's see if the Orioles can get a bat (Brantley or JD?) and a SP (Noah?) for a reasonable price. My biggest hope for the offseason has always been to try and lockdown Adley and/or Gunnar long term.

I came across an article trying to rank the best under age 25 talent in the AL East. What do you think it would cost to get JD Martinez and two of this group: Walker, Taillon, Manaea? I think if we make these 3 splashes, the team will be setup for a playoff run next year.
