The White Sox let go Renteria their manager and pitching coach Don Cooper today. Cooper is 64 and always had a good reputation. 18 years as their pitching coach. He's helped develop some fine young pitchers over the years.

The 17 yr old infielder has been added to our 60 man player pool. Completes the Castro deal with the Mets. Chandler Shepherd has been released to make room. Part of the Mets International 2019-2020 signing class. Has a good first step and strong arm and they feel he will stick at SS. Has yet to officially start his professional career.

I like him and think he's one of the 5 next year.

Ruiz is not dependable enough defensively and seems to leave a lot of men on base. Just my opinion.

Pat Hoberg home plate uump 2nd game 9/11 appears to toss someone most games.and doing some research apparently this young ump already has a bad rep. The worst part is he admits he has bad games. Its been said many times some guys are better home plate umps than others. The ump did not call anything but swinging strikes againt the Yankees until about the 4th or 5th inning and the game was over by then 7 or 8-1. We don't usually do this but does anyone know anything about the home plate ump? i dpn't recall his name His background? Adam ? Ben gave up on him in the second. He missed at least 15 inside or on the line strikes by the 4th inning.

He handled the postgame intervewi well after getting squeezed by the home plate umpire on three obvious strikes. Has anyone ever seen Sisco argue wih an umpire.? After the third one he should have started barking and stood up yesterday on 9/11. Gone to the mound to get the ump out there to say something. They should not have played NY yesterday.on 9/11. NY was not going to lose any games. To compound things the Orioles defense had their worst inning of the year. I'm not sure how much longer I can take Ruiz at 3B. I was happy to see Means rebound last night from his poor prior efforts. Hopefully it will be a confidence booster. I think the success of the other pitchers will help him relax a little and not try to be the Ace of the staff.
