I agree, I don't mind it too much...you know, when I actually go to games. I don't see how they'd be able to upgrade to something significantly larger without a massive overhaul of the whole installation out there which is such an identifiable part of the stadium.

I think 2023 should be the winner here. For the first time in awhile, I'm not concerned about how they'll score runs. It's the pitching, pitching, pitching. I'm not sure if the bullpen will be as good as last year's unit but I think the starters should be better.

Angelos has done a good job of killing the fanbase...and OPACY is still a gem. But I will submit again that the home viewing experience these days is fantastic. I don't live close to Camden Yards, it's a hassle to get there. Parking is a bitch, food and beer is expensive. It's much easier and affordable to sit on a comfy couch, have my own food or get something delivered and watch the game on a really nice HD TV. If they're getting blown out, I can turn it off and go do something else. I might go to a game this summer, but I don't know if I'll be too upset if I don't get there. Last time I went was in the summer of 2021, strictly to see Ohtani. Met up with @Frobby, had a great time.

I don't think there will be many gambling scandals, if any, involving players. The Black Sox were underpaid in an era where a lot of ballplayers worked regular jobs in the offseason. And they hated Comiskey. Pete Rose was a degenerate gambler, he was an outlier. Ballplayers today make too much and there's too much on the line for any of them to be as stupid as Rose to bet on their own sport...or their own teams. I don't care if any of them gamble on other sports or whatever else they do in their spare time. I just think most gambling culture is tacky, all the ****ing Fanduel ads, all of the gambling house ads are just so smarmy. Like a step or two above a strip club taxi cab topper in NYC. While I like a good strip club, I also don't want to see Hustler's logo or a Ritz Cabaret sign on an outfield fence. They're all too similar for me.

Gambling culture is so tacky.
