  1. Also wonder how much the new LF wall has to do with this.
  2. Here's hoping we have more games left at home than on the road. IIRC, it's about 50/50 though.
  3. Yeah, it's the absolute worst.
  4. Facebook itself is a cesspool, got rid of it years ago and haven't missed it. If anyone is on the fence, I would encourage you to do it. On the information superhighway, it's like a stretch of 95 in Florida with tacky billboards for personal injury attorneys, gentleman's clubs and fast food joints on either side of the highway with neon lights.
  5. I agree about the second leadoff guy at the bottom of the order being stupid. You want your best guys at the top of the order so they get more at bats. I'm not sure about 2nd, Rutschman has been doing great there. Leadoff might be a possibility, he's hitting better than Mullins now and it's not by a little bit, either. That said, I'm with SG and I'm not ready to agree that this is who he is. But he's looked great over the past month or so and I'm happy for him.
  6. It's not good. And I think you can hide those guys a little bit when Hays and Mountcastle are swinging well, but that's the problem, both of them have been pretty terrible for awhile now.
  7. Partially, but that’s not all I wrote. But if you’re cool with Vavra on the bench that’s fine.
  8. So you’re agreeing that they didn’t give themselves their best possible chance to win today?
  9. No. That’s not how it works. I get that you can’t trot the A lineup out there every day and that Sundays typically are the day in which you put out the B lineup. That’s understood. But today, on a day where they actually needed to win a game that could have playoff implications, they should have made an exception. You can’t tell me they put their best lineup on the field today. You can’t tell me that Odor batting 5th was a good idea. You can’t tell me that Vavra on the bench made sense. He’s probably the guy with the best approach on the team outside of Rutschman and he’s only been here like two weeks. You can’t tell me that it’s STILL A GOOD IDEA TO PITCH TO AROZARENA WITH RUNNERS ON BASE. His career average against the Orioles is .400. He’s 1941 Ted Williams against us and we STILL pitch to him. What’s next, pitching to Judge when we play the Yankees next? Dude, I said it in the OP which you either didn’t read or didn’t comprehend. Some days you get beat. Some days you run into a pitcher that’s throwing the game of his life. It happens. But you can’t tell me that this team did everything it could to win this game today; the lineup, Arozarena, yeah man, it was pathetic.
  10. Ohhhhhhh I’m ashamed. I wasn’t before reading your post but…but now I am. I’m ashamed.
  11. This team is also not as good on the road.
  12. This is one of your better posts.
  13. Well yeah, because it’s the day they don’t put their A lineup out there. I mean, it’s about as much of a must win game as there can be in August due to the tiebreaker implications. No Vavra? Phillips and Nevin? C’mon.
  14. Look, I get it. Sometimes you get beat. Sometimes the other pitcher is on top of his game. But the showing today from the Orioles was pathetic. Pitching to Arozarena with two on and two out was inexcusable. And they had absolutely no plan at the plate against Rasmussen today. Swinging at everything, no patience. At least Mateo just ruined the perfect game, but still.
  15. God this game is so frustrating to watch. Pitching to Arozarena with runners on. Absolutely no plan at the plate, no patience. It just has *that feeling* that’s all too familiar.
  16. The stupidity to pitch to Arozarena would be astounding if it weren’t so predictable.
  17. I think today’s lineup sucks. I get that Odor is 6-8, fine. But Nevin and Philllips? No Vavra?
  18. The DL Hall Fiasco is getting out of hand. This is ridiculous. Some of you are acting like this is the end of the world and we just ruined our playoff chances yesterday. It’s absurd. So he did terrible yesterday, what’s the big deal? Why are people having a meltdown? Why are there these wild conspiracy theories about Elias promoting him on the road and setting him up for failure so he can prove s point? My God, there’s a chance to take 2/3 from the Rays today and the meltdown about DL Hall is carrying over. Jeez, how are some of you going to handle yourselves when the Orioles are in an actual playoff series?
  19. Dunno, I think they were maybe trying to catch lightning in a bottle by bringing Hall up.
