  1. You guys obsessing over his velocity on his throws from second base are something else.
  2. I wonder if Gunnar will get to 30 homers this year.
  3. Looking back at El Trea, I think that guy was on the spectrum and I didn't understand it at the time.
  4. I’m refusing to make any judgements about where he will end up on defense. He’s still 20 and while he’s very good and wildly talented, there’s still a lot of development and refining to do.
  5. This new watered down version of SG is way different. Anyone who’s started posting here since he originally left doesn’t know how good we have it
  6. The other thing I really hated about him is that he’d flare up like a bad case of herpes when the Orioles were doing bad. Ugly loss? He’d be there. A few losses in a row? He’d post a lot saying I told you so. Jackson Holliday off to a bad start? He was all over that.
  7. Great. And the Trop is such a dumpster fire. They can’t get out of there fast enough.
  8. Gunnar just looks like a way different dude lately.
  9. I think Seranthony was a good pickup. That other clown from Philly looks to be a bust so far.
  10. It’s a great word. Add it to your vernacular.
  11. Fair, I don’t listen to a lot of other teams. But when I do tune into other teams, I haven’t heard much that separates him from the pack. What I do hear is the color guys… we are lucky to have Big Ben. In regard to Thorne, I’d let him read a phone book. Golden pipes that couldn’t be replaced. I never really cared about the errors. And when Brown can’t tell the difference between a slider and a sinker I really don’t care much about that either.
  12. Like I said, I think he’s cromulent. The good points for him aren’t outstanding to me; meaning they’re average. He has a nice voice, but not a great one in the way Jon Miller or Joe Angel or Gary Thorne did. He’s adequate on calling the action but he’s not a particularly gifted storyteller the way Vin Scully was. The pop culture references are tiresome, the Blink-182 thing with Ben McDonald he’s been keeping alive for over a year now is old. Constantly finding parallels that are insignificant (and the FOURTH round draft pick of the 2019 draft strikes out the FIRST overall pick of the 2019 draft) are…exactly that, insignificant. If I had taken a shot every time he reminded the audience that Eflin is facing his former team tonight, I’d be blackout drunk. I find him to be entirely too cheerful when the game is late and close, he seems to not understand the gravity of certain situations. Or just flat out joking around when the Orioles are down by a lot. Fine (not a great) voice, seems like an overall good dude, knows the game, solid on the PBP, and that’s about all the good I stuff I can say.
  13. Eflin is good. Real good.
  14. He’s cromulent yet a little corny, a little smug and wrapped up tight and cozy in a cocoon of his own cleverness. You don’t have to agree and I’m good with that.
  15. Kevin Brown can do no wrong for a lot of people here. Pay them no mind.
  16. Got lucky again. First the error by Morel, second that should have been a third strike on Gunnar.
  17. Would be too much to ask for Gunnar to get a hit here.
  18. Gotta capitalize here. That was a gift from Morel.
  19. He was insufferable. From time to time he did have a good point or two but that was buried under all the other crap. Part of me thinks he was a troll…like nothing he claimed was true.
  20. That's right. But that won't stop people from thinking it must have caused a problem for Gunnar because they thought it would prior to the HR derby. And since he hasn't hit a lot of homers since then...well, everyone loves to say how right they were all the time. But no one can know for sure what's caused his power outage. There's no evidence. As @Frobby pointed out, 2 homers in the 16 games leading up to the ASB. So, his HR stroke was decreasing before the ASB. This whole thing is silly.
