  1. Do you think Chris Davis could connect on a punch better than a fastball?
  2. Talking to a buddy of mine who's got a bit of an interest in baseball. He was asking me about the Astros, I was explaining to him how good their starting rotation is and he asked, "So...do the Orioles have anyone in their rotation that could be in the Astros rotation?"
  3. I think Dodger Blue suits Manny well. I could see him staying there if it weren't for the impending return of Seager and having Turner at 3B.
  4. @Can_of_corn is all over all things Zoellner.
  5. Orioles are just extremely analog in a digital world.
  6. Oooooo, struck out Manny! Blind squirrels find a nut every once in awhile.
  7. Not sure who the announcers are for this broadcast, but they might be OH members. Lotta excuse making for Gausman here.
  8. Ah, there's the Kevin Gausman I know and hate.
  9. I think they can if they draft properly and build something good on their own first.
  10. Yeah but without LeBron Cleveland returns to being an outpost.
  11. I think he's more talking about NBA free agents only wanting to go to desirable locations. No top flight NBA free agents consider a place like Milwaukee, for example.
  12. Possibly? I dunno. Gausman has been good for them, not sure why they'd mess with him. But if true...haha, two contributing members of the worst Orioles season holding it down for the Braves bullpen in a playoff series.
  13. Saw that Manny's hair still looks stupid.
  14. Sutcliffe during the 163 broadcast talking about how he can't believe the Orioles allowed Verdugo to remain a Dodger when they traded Manny.
  15. Forgot about O'Day. Yeah, I think he still does.
  16. Traded away this year, plus one future Orioles HoFer: Yankees: Zach Britton Brewers: Jonathan Schoop Dodgers: Manny Machado Braves: Kevin Gausman, Brad Brach, Nick Markakis So who are you guys pulling for? I don't think the Yankees can win the WS but having Britton get a ring would take some of the sting out of it for me. I'm hoping at least one of our former players can win a WS this year. Anyone but Boston, really. I'd really love to see Nick get a ring, I think that would be so f'ing cool so I'm pulling hard for the Braves. I don't really care about Gausman and Brach but I hope they perform well in postseason action.
  17. Yeah, I think he should get a shot for sure, I'm just not ready to anoint him a starter.
  18. I agree with that for the most part. But .807 OPS from the left side against righties. .437 as a right handed hitter. I think there should be a referendum on him switch hitting this offseason. I know he'd have to get used to breaking pitches from the left side but maybe he just sees the ball better from that side and has an overall better swing from that side. I dunno. If not, then he should be platooned against lefties next year if he doesn't show improvement from the right side.
  19. He's done better than I thought he would.. ..but let's not get carried away. He's gotta have a great spring. Aside from Villar, Mullins and Mancini, none of em have earned anything.
  20. At least Derrick Rose made it to the league and was an MVP. Hunter Harvey is going to be lucky to get to the bigs and do anything significant. I agree with one of the earlier posts, no rehabbing, no throwing, just hang out all offseason and come to ST rested.
  21. Boston has things wrapped up, but I don't think they are going to take it easy on anyone. NY and Houston have things to play for, we are limping to the finish line. 12 games left, I can see 2 wins...maybe. 1 win wouldn't surprise me.
  22. There's nothing curious about it. He's just bad. I agree we should be patient, but this isn't what anyone expected from him this year.
