The deal evens out in 2035. His 5.9M invested in 2000 equals the sum of his payments plus interest. What I didn’t know is that he gets an additional $500k through 2029.

60 games in 66 days.
The regular season is scheduled to end on Sept 27 when. It was always schedules to end.
I guess late July to late September is only two months and not three. My brain has atrophied during this lockdown.

I want to see some team decide that since it's just 60 games they're going to have their ace starter go every third day and get 20 starts. What if Texas gave 2/3rds of their starts to Lance Lynn and Mike Minor? Or if the Nats gave 100% of their starts to Scherzer, Corbin, and Strasburg?
Why would it have to be every third day? Aren’t they trying to play 60 games in 100ish days? Or are they starting the playoffs earlier?

Leake is a whole different thing.
This was about players who get, or possibly have, C19 going on the IL. During the season.
Leake, Zimmerman, and Ross are choosing not to play the season because of the potential of C19. Totally different situation.
I was confirming your point about players withdrawing. I read that they (Leake) are not getting paid. However, they should have received a partial advance in March. Don’t know if teams will try to claw that back.

Will he? Full salary from point of season beginning? Or as if season never missed a beat?
He should be getting his pro rated salary (60/162) of his salary.

I would expect so, must like they get paid while on the IL. Trey Mancini will get his full salary this year.
Now I don't know about players like Ryan Zimmerman who are withdrawing from the entire season due to Covid-19 concerns. They probably don't get paid.
I read something about Leake giving up his salary. Now, I don’t know about their advance.
I bring it up because I know that the NFL proposal has a separate list than the IR. On IR they get paid. The Covid list gets treated like a non-football related injury list.
Now, I know in baseball, you still get paid if you burn yourself on a tanning bed. So my assumption, like you, is that they will get paid.

Do players still get paid if they are on the COVID 19 list? I know that in the NFL proposal, they would not.

Snider and De Aza didn't do near the damage that the contracts to Hardy, O'Day, Trumbo, Matusz and Davis did.
I’ve always believed the Trumbo signing was heavily influenced by Buck.

This is a lie. It is estimate that over a million American Soldiers died from Agent exposure related cancers in Vietnam. My dad served two tours over there and had multiple cancers from Agent Orange exposure and died from it. His military pension was tax free because of his cancers. A few years before he died he had my sister search for his former Army buddies from his two tours in Vietnam. And they all had died except one. This is guys dying in their 50's and 60's from cancer. The soldiers who died in Vietnam were mostly 18 to 21 age range. Plus all the guys who lost limbs or otherwise permanently disabled. The median age people dying from covid is 80 years old. They had full lives and were in very poor health. Please stop minimizing the deaths of our service men with this stuff. I read this everywhere and it makes me very angry. Most of the people dying from covid are very old and very sick. I find great offense to posts like these.
Really you should think before you post. I am guessing you never served of had family members who served.
So 60k Americans under the age of 80 have died...so far.

No they were pretty smart and they picked Utah where the virus hasn't been much of a problem. They will be on a major free network while does baseball even have regular seasons game on over the air networks?
Yes. Fox airs many Saturday games during the summer.
The Bundy Doesn’t Cover Home game was on Fox.

From what I have read children haven't been spreading it. And schools being open in other countries did not lead to increased cases of covid. For some unknown reason most kids don't seem affected at all. Which is something we can be very thankful for.
Read that the worst group for number of times worse than the flu is the 45 to 54 age group. I guess that age group doesn't usually die of the flu. And the average age of onset of type 2 diabetes is 45. I guess a lot of people don't have it under control at that age.
Schools reopened then closed again in South Korea and Israel.

You don't think an illegitimate grievance claim could do damage?
To the players, yes. To the owners, I’d see it as a chip on their side (in public opinion) for the next CBA negotiations.

They won't, just because they have RG3. The Athletic did an article analyzing the fit on every team. The Ravens were one where they said there wasn't a fit. According to them...
Teams that should pursue: Jags, Bills, Broncos, Panthers, Bengals, Pats, Washington, Giants, Titans, Cardinals
Teams that should consider: Seahawks, Falcons, Texans, Vikings, Chiefs, Bucs, Rams, Lions, Steelers, Bears
Teams that should stand pat: Dolphins, Ravens, Browns, Raiders, Chargers, Packers, Colts, Eagles, Saints, Cowboys, Jets, Niners
I don’t see why the Bengals should pursue him, but the Chargers and Dolphins shouldn’t.
The Bears should have picked him up awhile ago.

Why do the owners believe the players have a legit grievance claim that they need them to waive the right to file it?
Would you have matched SEA offer to keep Cruz an Oriole?

Did Aaron do it twice? I’m pretty sure he led the NL in the 60s and 70s, but am not sure if he led the majors both times.
