Better BPs than SPs is a consistent theme. It's not exactly the same as those teams had deeper BPs, though perhaps, at least in 12, the 1-2 punch that is Cano and Bautista.
Positionally you could argue that none of the teams had a true top-flight superstar, but this team is deeper, not even including the riches in Norfolk.
They also are very differently offensively. Those earlier teams were far more powerful with poor on-base skills. This team is far better at getting on-base, and has a much, much better collective approach.
