  1. Currently leading the league in hits (25) with only 3ks v 4BB on season. He’s quietly having a little break out start to the season/.

    Coby Mayo 2023

Mayo laser bomb. Was just noticing how he legit has one foot in front line of box and one foot on back line of box. Crazy bat speed. Edit: double. 3rd base umpire have HR sign. They overturned to to a double. Absolutely smoked nonetheless. Quick bat
  3. I feel confident when he pitches,
  4. Motor preferences. Baseball Cheat codes. A lot of people train 'against' what their body wants to do. Once you figure our your preference. Plakata. Motor Preferences | Baseball Approach | Performance (motorpreferencesexperts.com)
  5. Ha! you're correct. I'm an idiot. My fat thumb hit the Tuesday box when I went back to check. I saw Westburg HR at top of box and my mind immediately thought it was today. My bad, I'll delete.
  6. His other worldly talent is also his Achilles heel.
  7. A lot also has to do with each players eyes. Some people just have better vision. Even with contacts/glasses etc, some people have much superior eyesight.
  8. Just one. #4 I think. Westburg hit #5 earlier in the game.
  9. Coswer has 180 ABs, Westburg 424, & Ortiz 164. They are all crushing the ball and have been doing so over the period of those ABS. There is a need at the MLB level and these guys are upgrades. We have a legit shot at playoffs and I'd like to get these guys as many MLB ABs as possible before the big end of year tournament (as Just Regular likes to say).
  10. If he puts the ball in play (which he has been doing) his numbers are going to skyrocket. Like Moose said, I'm waiting to see how he rebounds from the first slump. All the adjustments he's making are precisely the adjustments he needed to make, so I'm holding out hope.
  11. This Frazier thing is going to be my litmus test for Elias. It was my thought/hope that Frazier was an insurance plan if Ortiz/Westburg didn't perform. Both Ortiz & Westburg are performing and have done so for an extended period now. Ortiz has 164 AB & Westburg has 424. Both has torched AAA pitching and look poised to handle MLB. It's time for him to make a difficult move.
  12. What do you think is the lowest level of accepted production before they move on? I like what Elias does for the most part, but I’d really like to see a surprise bold move of bringing up the youth and jettisoning a poor performer. Really want to see Cowser out in LF.
  13. Stowers isnt crushing the ball right now, but it would be nice to see him get his shot especially if both Hays & Tony are not 100%.
  14. Adley’s throwing game has really been the only thing I haven’t been enamored with. He’s perfectly fine - above avg. but it isn’t a skill that sticks out like some other catchers.
  15. Guess we are about to find out. My feeling was they’d kick him to the curb when the time was right. Man I hope they don’t disappoint me. Would be a gut punch to have Frazier blocking The kids while he is playing poorly. Especially while team is on a heater. Add gas to the fire!!
  16. I think he’s a little banged up. Doesn’t look like he’s moving too well. And seems like he is laboring when he swings. Maybe an IL stint would do him some good.
  17. I’d jump right out of my chair if Westburg & Cowser came up together and replaced Vavra & Frazier. How fun would that lineup be to watch every night. DH & 2B OPS would get boosted immediately
  18. That would be fantastic. Hays RF, Mullins CF, Cowser LF would be an upgraded defensive set up and way more offense pushing Santander to to DH & Vavra to Norfolk. Cowser is starting to look like a man amongst boys at AAA and think he can have a very positive impact in short time.
  19. Just watches replay. Flipping idiot. All 4 fingers wrapped around bat just waiting to get broke.
  20. 63 PA……he moves up when he does this for 180+AB. I’m excited but guarded. He’s never had success like this so let him stay comfortable where he is and see how it plays out. No need to put undo pressure on him and stifle what he has going.
  21. Pros screw up the bunt so often because it wasn’t a skill that got them to the show = no practice. Continues to blow my mind the senseless injuries that occur on bunts due to poor prep & execution. Bunt = “thumbs up” technique to both deaden bat & make Hand as soft as possible for potential impact. Hand in front/wrapped on bat = month off with broken finger.
  22. Through 63 PAs Mateo has 5 BB & 10k for a clean .5 k/bb. .264 ISO 15.9 SO% 42.6 Hard Hit % Did not see this coming. Really hope this real. Sure looks like it is.
  23. At no point during a bunt attempt should any finger be wrapped around the bat. First day 101 stuff. It’s insane a MLB Athlete (who knows this) would F up and miss time, mess with winning mojo, and hurt their bottom line by missing time. Continue to shake my head at the MLB bunt IL fools.
