  1. I will continue to not watch games as long as they are blacked out. I am willing and able to purchase MLB.tv to view them but I’m not giving Comcast $175/mo like I was paying just to have baseball on TV.
  2. You know the rule: Buy the arms, grow the bats.
  3. Naturally if you run the website and no longer find that baseball is of interest, then I think that’s quite a big issue to confront.
  4. Milone opening day. Cobb, LeBlanc next two days. Wojo and Stewart in some order after that I'd imagine. https://www.mlb.com/orioles/roster/probable-pitchers

  6. I'm not sure it matters if you have 40 playoff teams this year, no one is ever going to start any response about the 2020 MLB Champions with anything other than a "yeah but". This will never be considered a legitimate season in the court of public opinion, except for by fans of the winners.
  7. Looks like Brandon Bailey also made the Opening Day roster. Just goes to show that the Orioles have too much pitching and the Astros, not enough.
  8. Cubs taxi player Mark Zagunis is opting out.
  9. Was looking through Rick Strickland's twitter feed. Says they have 9 MLB players there. Looked through his followers and saw Nick Pratto, Jose Trevino, Evan Gattis. Lots of Oriole coaches.

  11. This horse must have black hair and is hiding in a cave on the far side of the moon.
  12. Certainly there is some sort of "+" analytic tracking against the rest of the league that would take care of that argument.
  13. I could see some upper-level MLB suit saying "so what else beyond better lighting does the MLB get for this significant investment in a minor league park?" and the answer was "goodwill/nothing" and the idea died right there on the conference room table.
  14. I mean, he's looked better lately than he has in years, so yeah, maybe I am deluded. We live in interesting times and I'm open to interesting ideas.
  15. That can’t be true. Teams are not technically allowed to announce additions to the COVID IL. Opting out altogether does create space.
  16. Tommy John Surgery https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/07/rays-colin-poche-tommy-john-surgery.html
  17. Shocked because someone asked him to do it, sure
  18. Former O's David Washington and Adam Brett Walker are on that Milwaukee team too.
  19. Well of course not. "Pitching well" and having movement on your fastball are probably related. But plenty of people on this site have commented on Chris Tillman's fastball early in his career and even up to his break out 2012. Hess isn't the prospect that Tillman was, but I find it bizarre that you don't think Tillman having a straight fastball was ever once brought up on this site and elsewhere?
  20. Fangraphs 2019 Pitch Summary: FA:26% SL:22% SI:20% CH:18% CU:15%
  21. Eh, that was the knock on Chris Tillman before he became a top five Orioles pitcher of the last 30 years.

  23. I gotta tell yah, there’s nothing on that link that says “rain in Baltimore” tonight.
