  1. I wonder if he thought it was embarrassing when the Astros won 56, 55, and 51 games in 3 consecutive years. Then made the playoffs 2 years later. Elias has completed 1.5 (ish) MLB seasons since he was hired at the end of 2018. People need to chill the heck out. Just my opinion. I agree with those saying that this needs to be the last year of absolute tear down though.
  2. Looks like the inherited runners all scored so 7 ER on the day for Zimm. Yikes. 8-3 going into the bottom of the 6th. At least it will be over soon.
  3. Zimmermann pulled in the 5th. Not a great start at all. 4.1 IP 9 H 5 ER. Few remaining runners still on base. Also he allowed 3 HR. LeBlanc coming into the game to relieve him.
  4. Mancini was just pulled for a pinch runner. ? No other details yet. He was 1 for 1 with a BB and run scored today.
  5. Worth pointing out the reigning division champs are 11-15 so far this spring, while we are 10-16. Not saying...…..…...but i'm just saying. ;)
  6. Hays and Ruiz each have solo HRs. Zimmermann has completed 3, allowing 3 ER so far. All tied up 3-3 going into bottom of 3rd.
  7. According to Roch they are only playing 7 innings today. Still no sign of Santander.
  8. For the Orioles Austin Hays RF Trey Mancini 1B Ryan Mountcastle LF Maikel Franco 3B Pedro Severino C Freddy Galvis SS Rio Ruiz 2B Adley Rutschman DH Cedric Mullins CF Bruce Zimmermann LHP
  9. I work in public health on a task force dealing with COVID and I've been weighing whether or not to chime in too. Your last mini paragraph struck a chord with me (we do need more genuine conversation) so I think I will respond. In no particular order...…. There are multiple reasons why everyone should strongly consider getting vaccinated, even if they are in a "low risk group." 1. Obviously to protect yourself and those in your household from getting COVID. 2. To protect your loved ones from getting COVID who may be in a high risk group. 3. To protect the people you don't know who you interact with on a regular basis who could be at high risk. 4. To help bring about herd immunity for the general population as quickly as possible so we can ALL get society back to "normal." You raise an interesting point about how vaccine deaths can be reported as compared to adverse reactions to the vaccine. All adverse reactions to the vaccine should be aggressively reported to the CDC for investigation. The link for the CDC's Adverse Reaction Reporting System is already on this thread and people can check out the data for themselves. There is an extremely small risk of anaphylaxis with the covid vaccines, (on the order of a few in a million) like there is with ALL vaccines. It is a false equivalence to say that COVID deaths are reported one way, therefore we should be immediately as suspicious of any deaths reported by someone who passed after getting the vaccine. All adverse reactions should be reported, all should be investigated as thoroughly as possible, and that data should be transparent to the public. As it is on the CDC site. If there is a direct link between the COVID virus and a death, that should be a "COVID death." If there is a direct link between the vaccine and a death, that should be done the same way....and to my knowledge there hasn't been any of that yet. There are investigations, and you can read about those too....I have read plenty. If you have data more accurate than what CDC has so far I hope you will share.
  10. Guess he still...…….........……..….........hasn't found.........…..…....……. what he's looking for...…….......
  11. O's down 2 to 1 after 8. Harvey's bottom line ends up being.....ok after a rocky start.
  12. Harvey just completed the 4th. 4 IP 5 H 2 ER 2 BB 2 K
  13. 3 innings complete now. O's are down 2-0. Our hitters have 4 BB on the day so far which is nice. But not much to show for it. Hays has a BB and a SB.
  14. Harvey allowed a leadoff double, a BB and another hit before getting the 3rd out (with 2 K's). O's down 1-0 before their first ABs.

  16. My million dollar question is what does Elias see in this guy. Emergency starter?
  17. I predict at least 3 OH members will lobby for us to re-sign him. And.......go! Fwiw i think this ship has sailed.
  18. We didn't have a ton of starters in that lineup. But on the other hand, he absolutely crushed us in his 3 starts vs us last year. Hopefully we get it done.
  19. So we just need a couple infield bats and we are good to go ring hunting? ?
  20. Back in the lineup for tonight. woooooo
  21. Uh oh, just saw that Mountcastle has been scratched and is being replaced by Tyler Nevin in LF. Haven't seen the explanation yet.

  24. They should run new ads promoting the app. The MASN streaming app is perfect for those willing to pay for cable, but UNwilling (or unable!) to sit in front of their home TV. There must be dozens of people who feel entrapped by having to watch on their big screen at home.
  25. Have you heard about our exciting new MASN streaming app? Coming to Roku on or around April 1st? The future is now! All you need is a streaming device, (and a MASN cable subscription), and you can stream as much as you want in-network! It's the best of both worlds if you think about it.
