  1. That might be how you look at it, but I guarantee you that isn't how 99% of the population looks at it.
  2. Yea, they will be on the bases for all of 22.02 seconds.
  3. Pecota has the NL West a game and a half behind the AL East in total wins. I don't think they think the AL East is by far the toughest.
  4. I agree that the hitters are mostly to blame. Can we add shock collars for Umps that allow them to call time out constantly?
  5. I'd be fine with runner on 2B starting in the 12th. I don't think anyone wants to watch a 17 inning game.

  7. We've pretty much got one. I mean yea, the Dodgers are going to be over this year and the Sox and Yanks go over every now and again but it's pretty much a cap.
  8. https://www.thebalance.com/2007-financial-crisis-overview-3306138 The writing was on the wall in 2007. Also in January 2008 the economy lost 17,000 jobs.

  12. We can just disagree on that one. I find walks tedious, especially multiple ones in the same inning.
  13. Of course it won't be the sole consequence. More dongs for instance. But if you want to name something more boring than a strikeout, a walk would qualify. Would pretty much guarantee longer games.
  14. I think we've learned that cities don't have to justify building a ballpark.
