  1. The spent a lot of capital hyping up the advancements they were going to bring in the fold. It will be interesting to see if they make a tangible difference in the on the field product.
  2. Can I cast a vote of Hernaiz? I think he's fallen completely off the radar through no fault of his own.
  3. Ryan Mountcastle was a shortstop that was drafted in the first round.
  4. He's quieted down about it since he joined the Grip Club before his walk year in 2020. Part of the reason I'd pass on him, I couldn't be sure he'd keep using after he got the contract.
  5. But why trade Iglesias if you turn around and sign Villar for more money? Wouldn't you rather have Iglesias?
  6. If you are going to spend 4M on Villar why wouldn't you just spend 3.5M on Iglesias? Are the O's that high on Stallings?
  7. I do think they should either amend or enforce the rule and the random enforcement is annoying. Remember when the Marlins GM made himself the manager and got Matusz suspended?
  8. But if he was using it before last year than him using it last year, if he still was, doesn't explain his improvement. (I think an abbreviated season explains his improvement) From what I gather a majority of ML pitchers use something that is currently against the rules to improve their grip. Trevor Bauer used to rant about it before he hit his walk season then he joined in.
  9. We really need two threads about a non-issue like this? Did you read the piece? Bundy was using his services when he was still pitching for the Orioles.
  10. They could just place the ball on a Tee for hitters and replace the whole staff with one extra fielder.
  11. They've managed to convince hitters that it's a safety issue.
  12. I don't think he's going to be willing to take a 13M pay cut.
  13. If Ryan McKenna has route issues he should just pack it in and call it a career.
  14. I've always figured Roch is reading OH. Why wouldn't he?
  15. They're in Cleveland, it would take a lot to make them happy. I was listening to a podcast yesterday and someone compared GI's stuck in west Germany in the '60's with Akron.
  16. Cute how they consider Wilkerson an outfielder. Obviously defense matters.
  17. Furthermore we have no idea how much an impact heredity had and how much of a factor the environment was.
  18. I apologize for assuming you were smart enough to figure out what I meant.
  19. https://www.prospects1500.com/al-east/orioles/baltimore-orioles-2021-top-50-prospects/ Just happened on it. Don't recall having heard of the site before.
  20. If you are projected at a corner at 16 I don't think the odds of you being a defensive asset in the majors is very likely.
  21. The question is what is poorly and irresponsibly? To me if you have X dollars unspent in your pool you have three main choices. Trade the slots for organizational filler Let it rot Overpay for players I'd rather they overpay for players since I've seen no evidence that money saved is invested in the team instead of simply pocketed by ownership.
