Like I said, a false statement. Sisco is a catcher, a ML catcher. He isn't Lenn Sakata back there. He isn't the worse defensive player ever to put on a mask.

What we have seen with some posters talking about Sisco's defense, has to me, go well beyond saying he is "poor on defense". I agree that he's a poor defensive catcher. But to say he isn't a major league catcher is simply false, he's in the majors and his position is catcher. So yea, if someone continually makes exaggerated claims about his defensive inadequacy I'm going to call it whining.

Cashner was a straight salary dump. Boston only wanted him to fill in for a few starts. I'm glad they got someone to take the contract.

How is having the O's 30th getting more clicks than the Marlins or the Pirates? I don't see why it would.

I'm not buying into Bundy's "resurgence" quite yet. I'm going off of Data, the fact that Bundy has been close to league average and has been pretty durable the last few years. I think that's worth more than what the O's got in return if you are willing to pay him.

I was talking more about stuff like the Villar and Bundy trades. I'm specially skeptical of the return for Bundy. It looks like a salary dump move. Iglesias is why I said feasibly. The team really needed an actual shortstop and he was an inexpensive addition.

And to get payroll as low as feasibly possible.

I think that in most cases small market teams could hold onto their star players if they wanted to.

Always is such a loaded term. If you are an honest to goodness contender I can see holding onto someone like Britton since they can be such a weapon in the playoffs. If the timing is right you have to play for today and not three years down the line.
