  1. I agree. I'm also not frightened. That being said the numbers in Florida and not solely due to an increase in testing.
  2. Someone did downvote it this morning, I was online when it happened. No idea if it was intentional since it wasn't me that did it.
  3. Because you exaggerate. Here is Luke, who the O's thought enough of to hire. I take that as higher praise than "might be playable". To me the spectrum goes average, below average, playable, unplayable. Your choice of language makes it seem that actual experts think that, at best, he will be not even qualify as below average in left field. Edit- Oh wait, I forgot, in your world average defense is barely playable.
  4. Particularly when a sizeable amount of the population isn't taking precautions. I went to Publix today, maybe half the customers had masks on. At Wawa you are lucky to see a quarter. I've also noticed that a number of businesses are easing back on the constant cleaning. Probably pulling folks scheduled for that to some other duty.
  5. Yep. I will say that his K/BB rates are a point of concern. I'm hopeful that once he faces ML pitching he will learn what pitches he can't make solid contact with and start taking them.
  6. Tourism brings in over 100B a year to the State so yea, they can't keep people out. That would end up worse than the virus.
  7. It's spiking down here Tony. 4K reported cases today. Nice graph here at the NYT. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/florida-coronavirus-cases.html End of May they were under a thousand a day.
  8. It's a pretty good ploy I think. Hard for the players to launch a grievance when it's their welfare at stake.
  9. NP, I've done that a ton. I wanted him up last September so he could get a taste of ML pitching and get some reps in the outfield.
  10. I haven't said that. I'm eager to see what he can do.
  11. MLB suddenly releasing this information is a ploy to keep from playing games right?
  12. That wasn't already a requirement?
  13. You want to develop and evaluate talent while at the same time not bringing up a guy that played the whole season at AAA last year.
  14. I'd say the vast majority of it down here was ending the lockdown and opening things back up. Before then most folks that went out at least had on masks. Now a majority of folks down here are acting like nothing is going on.
  15. His numbers were fine considering where he was pitching.
  16. I think folks are weighing a couple of small sample sizes pretty heavily with regards to Kjerstad.
  17. Ahh that new player smell. He hasn't had a chance to fail yet. And yet you have a college guy at #2.
  18. You don't think an illegitimate grievance claim could do damage?
  19. Shrug, blame Atomic for mentioning them. Obviously since he thought I was against the Jones contract he must not have been as aware of my prior positions as you are.
  20. It can be if trying to maximize one year's worth of revenue causes long term damage that could have been avoided.
  21. You can't see Manfred getting a letter from a child and having an epiphany about how his behavior is damaging the game?
