Just like yesterday...huh?
I said nothing about Dan and Toronto.
I think Buck went behind Dan's back to advocate for Davis and that is part of the reason that Angelos bypassed Dan to make a deal with Boras.
None of the guys I'm thinking about are pitchers. I don't think the current ideas on player development are going to lead to many 19-20 year old pitchers in the majors. Last hype guy I can think of that was pitching in the majors at 19 was Urias with the Dodgers. He did pretty well at 19.
Teams draft a disproportional number of CF and SS because the best players on a particular team (therefor more likely to be drafted) are more likely to play those positions. If you are in left field as a high school player odds are you aren't going to be a ML prospect down the road.
So you mention Diaz, who is projected to play right field. Why not just mention Santander who would be in Left? You can see how it would be confusing when you mention a guy that plays CF/RF while talking about LF/1B/DH types.
Mountcastle played SS when he was drafted, so did Mark Reynolds. Aren't they already talking about moving Gunnar Henderson off of short?
Folks are talking about a right handed 1B going 1/1 next year, one went 1/3 this year.
