1. Maryland did win a title in that period. Not sure how many titles a program like Maryland is supposed to win in that time span. One seems pretty fair to me, maybe two.
 2. I saw yesterday's third at bat this morning. He looks fine at the plate but I can't say he exactly squared up the pitch. It was a little bloop but it counts. On a side note the Astros' defense is going to put a lot of pressure on the pitching staff.
 3. Now can we move all further Markakis threads (up until he enters the Orioles' HoF) to the MLB board?
 4. He is projected to have the second highest OPS on the Braves. (130 odd points lower then Freeman) http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/instagraphs/2015-offensive-projections-interactive/

 6. I remember it being somewhere near the ASB in 2005 and thinking "If we can just play .500 here on out the Yankees will have a hard time catching us.".

 8. I don't have the drive professional athletes have. I would retire rather then risk further injury. Not the neck or head. Possibly not the back.

 10. I am in the camp that doesn't expect Cruz to match his 2014 production going forward.
 11. Who exactly thinks WAR is the be all end all? I love the hyperbole on the other side of the argument.
 12.

Hear the Astros are going hard to get one of the top closers on the market. Among those on the wish list: Miller, Robertson, Romo.
— Brian McTaggart (@brianmctaggart) November 14, 2014
OK they just lost me. Here I thought this was an analytics driven franchise.

 14. Why does Reimold not count as an injury for the O's?
 15.

Saw it on Reddit yesterday and kept note of it. 1982 lineup is supposed to be Chuck Dukowski, Rollins, Greg Ginn, Chuck Biscuits, Dez Cadena.

 16. And of course, watch out for the Cubs next year.
