  1. If they didn't think he was ready to start the season in the majors I think it's pretty foolish for them to risk whatever it is they were worried about for one start in the first week of April. If the only reason they sent him down was because, at that moment, he wasn't the most likely to get a win the first week of the season than they are taking an overly myopic view of the season.
  2. The only way it makes sense is if he the problem was some mechanical flaw and they fixed it. The resulting bullpen session he just had was just so impressive they moved his timetable up. It's possible right?
  3. On the bright side, if he does suddenly turn it around and win RoY no draft pick! I don't see how it makes sense to have him publicly not make the team out of ST only to get called up a week later after a lackluster start.
  4. Shades of what was done with Hall last season.
  5. His internal clock needs some adjusting when it comes to the new pace of play rules. You see he got himself ejected today?
  6. I guess they figured he needed to see the Wizard!
  7. I would hope that if it the type of injury that had any chance of having a year long lingering impact they would have put him on the IL.
  8. They called up Hall for one start on the road last season and then sent him right back down. Particularly with how he's been pitching I'm not about to bet he's up to stay.
  9. I guess that means he's fixed. Huzzah!
  10. Can't say our develop team has had much luck with whatever it is they've tried.

Nice to see they gave him a copy of the script.
  12. His raw numbers look fine against sliders. Who does well against good sliders?
  13. I'd figure Billy for having the harder head of the two.
  14. He's worked out of the pen before. Why would it be a problem?
  15. Hairline fracture maybe. Maybe just a nasty bruise.
  16. If you bring Hall up and put him into the pen you can yo-yo him all year and really screw with his service time and development. Of course they haven't managed to develop Hall to begin with...
  17. I don't know. If you were to literally tar and feather McKenna I bet you won't see another outfielder drop a ball like that all season. It also isn't that much a fluke since it has evidently happened to him before (or something pretty similar). To me this is as bad as AJ getting hit on the head by the ball, and the folks here never let him live that down.
  18. The Red Sox played under the same conditions. Why do people keep trying this excuse? The Red Sox go to spring training in Florida, just like the O's. They are no more acclimated to cold weather.
  19. It's Dillion. He went 4-4 with an ERA of 3.05, pitched 74 innings. He had a nice enough season but he's hardly a indispensable piece. Not sure why you are blaming rust for the defense, lead doesn't rust. They play defense in Spring Training, these guys aren't rusty.
  20. And a hot streak can end at any particular at bat. So hey, let's walk a guy whose hot streak would be over.
  21. I'm sure you've got folks collecting balls and testing them.
