  1. He made a few nice pitches to Mendick there. The CB or SL for an early strike had nice break.
  2. This is compl out of character. Respond with a song if you're safe and a meme of your OH bestie if not.

Can you be more specific? I'm not following.
  4. I honestly don’t know how all that works. But one would think... not just the MLBPA, but other teams' coaches and GMs, and ultimately owners. Or does that upset the federally sanctioned monopoly? Too many backroom deals to mess with a Judas? I just don’t know.
  5. Fun! Tons of young talent in the game today. Just got tickets to 4/14 when we play the Brewers. It's marketed as the Kids OD. Maybe that's a subtle hint of our Jackson kid opening with the team?
  6. That's pretty bad. Many local colleges have better set ups... Even the mini-"OPACY" at the Ripken Experience in Aberdeen may be better!
  7. I was theorizing it had to do with the home park too. Then I saw #2 in 2024. Interesting cast of characters!
  8. Brit Ghirolli is going to be one with them every Tuesday talking general baseball.
  9. Why sub? Let 'em build stats so Getz and the White Sox get a good look at them! You make them remember the night they played the Tide!
  10. 1. Because Getz didn't see value in Norby, Stowers, and who knows who else? Maybe Elias knows the value of our guys better than the market does? And team control is a thing whether we like it or not. 3. LAD, TBR, PIT come to mind. But none are as stacked as the O's at AAA. PIT is a pileup of pitchers.
  11. Norby made a nice defensive play last night on a ball hit right at him but back to the wall. He made it look routine. I'd guess it was a 90+% catch outcome, but he made it look routine. And that's big for not being a natural LF. If/when a decision/injury happens to Hays, Norby is ready.

Just needed to get it out!

But we're collectively calling for prospects and tossing talented (if fringey in Baltimore) players because of 4 games with less than expected offense. 2 of them vs. very good LHP. (And some awesome AAA stats in a similarly SSS.) There are likely more talented options in AAA today. But let's not pretend the current guys are junk. Yes, there are some individual players with bigger questions than others. But let's look beyond 4 games where we went 2-2. How many of the 26 are we going to DFA/waive before 5/1? Or even over the next 2 weeks? Maybe Kemp for Holliday. But are we really going to do anything with Urias (for Mayo) or Hays (for what RHH? Norby? Mayo despite lacking OF reps?) or Santander or O'Hearn (Mayo/HK/Stowers?)? Are we trading any them before AS break? Roman wasn't built in a day. And it's not burning either. Not trying to say hard decisions don't need to be made eventually. But after game 6 with a 4-2 record? I should have titled the threat "perspective" instead. But went with what I see as the SSS influencer - facing some quality LHP and happening to not do well. Better days are ahead... even vs. LHP. Even with the current team.

    That's my point. We're overreacting.
