  1. You're probably correct. I didn't want to go that far but it's probably unlikely that he starts at all.
  2. I'll be surprised if he starts a handful of games this year. I'm much more of a pessimist anyways.
  3. I don't care how the team got here, just keep winning. My biggest issue is how some people phrase the current success. They imply that every pick has been 1-1, and that's simply not the case. It'll take time to play out, but Elias and his group has seemingly done an excellent job of picking...not just in the draft, but even a fair amount of waiver claims have proven decent. It also discredits how well they've done in trades.
  4. It seems as though I've said this 5 times in the last week. People just don't want to listen.
  5. They could potentially lose the year of control like that, and not receive any draft comp if they call him up that soon. He either starts the year in Baltimore or stays down until summer is in full swing.
  6. Having him come in the top 3 in ROY voting would negate that benefit.
  7. There's really not much to look at.
  8. I'm guessing Mayo starts the season in Norfolk. Westburg and Urias move around at 2B and 3B in the beginning. Unfortunately the best 26 will not start the season in Baltimore. They're not going to release guys that are under contract before the season begins, and it's unlikely that any trades occur just yet.
  9. I'm loving every minute of this for him. Even at such a young age in Delmarva, he was spectacular. I don't know if he'll become the next #1 prospect or not, but he's an exciting player nonetheless.
  10. I don't know that I implied that. However, it would be foolish to think Burnes will be able to just replace Bradish, and then nothing to replace Gibson's innings. On top of that, hope that Grayson is the second half Grayson all year. I'd love to see them sign someone like Snell or Montgomery, but adding a BP pitcher or maybe Lorenzen would help get through some innings until Means gets back.
  11. I'm trying to remain positive. Trading for Burnes with the 2 injuries and setbacks doesn't make sense. They still need another pitcher if they have any hopes to keep pace in the AL.
  12. I'd be disappointed if they didn't do anything else.
  13. The Yankees have a current offer out to Snell according to reports. They were embarrassed last season and I highly doubt that they will let money stop them. Someone always bails out the last few FA's each season. Baltimore needs another pitcher...I can't answer if they'll actually do it though.
  14. I don't think any of the fans know exactly what their intentions are with payroll. They wouldn't be the first sports team owners to not go all in with the budget.
