If they have plenty of cash, they should use it to improve the team. Plenty of options have been there all off season. It just boggles my mind that they think $8M for Frazier is a smart use of funds, while $17M on Eovaldi (a player who misses bats and has higher upside than Frazier at a position of need) is not.
It's just stupid to me (the team's decision making...your post is probably correct).
