  1. Agreed. I wanted to hear what Palmer had to say, not Scott.
  2. And his command was amazing. Even the balls he threw were "good balls" - just missing off the plate on the fastball, or just missing down on the changeup. Pitches I expected the Red Sox to chase and they didn't. Easily the best start we have ever seen from him.
  3. Agreed, though he did get 14 whiffs today. Really special performance by Means.
  4. FACTS. I missed Palmer in the booth. Just imagine how great it would have been if it was Palmer and Thorne.
  5. What a joy to watch Means today. The command was superb. Let's hope Harvey can keep the scoreless innings streak alive.
  6. NOO. I was hoping it was an April Fool's joke. Appears that it was not.
  7. If you cannot understand that the reward outweighs the risk in terms of vaccinating players, not only for the Orioles but for everyone, I don't know what to tell ya.
  8. LOL. I am not, but I am a fan of the British being Santander fans.
  9. so.... playing with it is? Do you think he has a better chance of healing by playing with the strained oblique or sitting out with it? P.S. I know/assume you're just being silly.
  10. Agreed. .750 OPS in 2018, .722 OPS in 2019, so not great, but very likely better than what we currently have. According to BBRef, he was worth 1.8 dWar in 2018, but at 0 in 2019 and -0.4 last year.
  11. I mean, we do need a second baseman, and he's probably better than Valaika and Urias. He also punched Jose Bautista in the face which was awesome. What do ya'll think?
  12. starting again at 2B today, FWIW... https://twitter.com/masnRoch/status/1376529043445678085?s=20
  13. Helps Mullins' chances of being in there on Opening Day.
  14. Also it's coinciding with the Jimenez injury which I know is discussed in another threat.
  15. Yeah, that's the thing, I don't know. Maybe it's just a little nagging injury and they are keeping him out as a precaution. That's my hope.
  16. Very very excited about Hays. 150 games or so from him would be fantastic
  17. No indication as to why, per Meoli. As a Santander fan, I hope they aren't working on a trade and keeping him out of the lineup. I also hope he isn't dealing with an injury, but this is usually the time when a team tries to play its regulars and ramp up at bats, etc.
  18. Awesome. Haven't had the chance to say this in years, but this is the Orioles doing what a smart, well run organization does. The Orioles are starting to act like smart, well run organization.
  19. THIS!!!! Love Hays, love his passion and love for the game.
  20. Unless he is red hot, I don't see Mullins playing much against lefties, so that opens up CF for Hays, with RMC and Santander in left and right, respectively, and Stewart at DH. Against righties, I could see Hays in left and RMC at DH, or RMC in left and Stewart at DH, with the occasional day off against a righty for Mullins allowing Hays to play center. Santander will be in there just about every day.
  21. True, they mean nothing, but we talk about to because it's something to talk about and it is relevant at this time of year. Come July and August, I imagine we'll be talking about what post-deadline roster will be.
