  1. Well what if he shits the bed early? How many starts would the O’s realistically give him anyway and how much seasoning do you think he needs to perfect his game in AAA?
  2. Agreed, I’d prefer it was Suarez and maybe that’s why banuelos was up, to open a spot on the 40 to get Albert his shot. We all know Zimmerman is just…not as good, and Hyde wants to win so Suarez should be the guy. but it’ll probably be Zimmerman. Sadly. I mean, at least with Suarez there’s some upside. He may be good. Little upside with Zimmerman.
  3. Zimmerman does make the most sense and he might actually have some success against the twins.
  4. Agreed. I thought it was just really funny. I like their dynamic, it makes it so much more fun that they are polar opposites and rib each other. Plus, Kevin Brown is hilarious!
  5. Or rather luckily for us, your problem is also our problem.
  6. You may have a problem sir, but luckily for you, your problem is also our problem. Much love sir!
  7. It’s simply software that encrypts these devices. If there’s a will, there’s a way. That being said, it would have to be done for each team and each game unless the encryption per team does not change. I highly doubt that. It’d be interesting to see the software and consult with forensics professionals to see if there’s a potential problem with these devices. I wonder if pitchcom has taken that action or if MLB through their vetting process has done that as well.
  8. Heh I understand, there’s probably nothing there. The signals would be encrypted
  9. Well in the Sanchez homer, there was a runner on second. Hm.
  10. I mean here a player is wearing it and during an interview, you can clearly hear it, so it’s louder than we think.
  11. I mean, if the batter could hear this…yeah that’d be a huge problem.
  12. I mean, sure, but Manfred also protected the players so…anyway, that’s beside the point. I’m more interested in how this would be theoretically pulled off and to what extent it would be an advantage. The Sanchez at bat was strange so I’ll do a little research on pitchcoms and see if there’s anything there.
  13. So in the age of pitchcoms…how would this be done? Does the pitchcom tell what type of pitch and the location as well? I assume so, I’ve just never used one. With any technology there is the ability to circumvent it and hack into its result. So is that happening here? Or can the batter hear the pitchcom?
  14. Exactly. He was definitely bringing something to light that he noticed while watching at home. I thought it was quite interesting and Kevin Brown did not want to touch that thought with a ten foot pole because there really wasn’t any follow up by him which also is odd.
  15. Ben Macdonald alluded to something being off with their at bats yesterday and now today…is there merit to what Ben was talking about today?
  16. Or if they re-embrace sticky stuff so it requires less wear on the pitchers elbows to generate spin. Spin is prized and those who can do so effectively and consistently are what MLB is looking for. Not only does it generate movement, it also hides the pitch to the batter. I honestly wouldn’t mind it if the batters were ok with it.
  17. Come back to us! This is honestly exceptional what he’s been able to do with his recovery, especially in light of the recent Strider news.
  18. Here’s the promo tag line: ”The Milkman Cometh” (which coincidentally could be a 70s porno title)
  19. I agree and as we know from Hays he is a Jekyll and Hyde player. He will have a great first half but a terrible second half and vice versa. Let’s hope that plays into a killer second half. That being said, he has an option and he has also earned some leeway to figure it out, but if I’m Hyde, I’ve got a mental timer on him figuring it out by May. If that doesn’t happen, it’s an easy sell to him to send him down to AAA so he can get his mind right. When he does, he can come back and mash and all will be well. In the long run, it’ll be good for him, truly.
  20. Sadly Hays has always been a free swinger. He has never shown to consistently see pitches, work the count and he just frankly swings for the downs every time. It has never matched the player profile Elias strives for and with that, if you aren’t going to get value from him, he simply has to be sent down to make way for someone who’s ceiling is much higher like Stowers or Kjerstad. It’s unfortunate, but he has to get his mind right. Maybe mashing in AAA will get his confidence back and he can come back like Mully when he was sent down or Greyson when he was sent down. it isn’t the end of the world, but come May if he doesn’t figure it out, Hyde knows he’s going to have to make room for someone who can.
  21. If hays continues to scuttle…I think it might be time to send him down to AAA to figure it out and bring Stowers up. Stowers does have success against lefties so he might be a good backup for both Cowser and Mully.
  22. Ah come on, hook us up with an international pick at least! But yeah, the way the Milkman is going right now…I’m starting to wonder if Hyde leaves him in against lefties as well.
  23. Right? What the heck are the angels doing? I get the feeling they either have no idea about baseball or just don’t want to win at this point.
