  1. I feel like this is going to be a claim and DFA in a week or two and hope to get him through (like Logan Allen).
  2. What about brining Bannon back up instead?
  3. It might be slightly early, but this is around the time we usually see some “significant” moves between the MiLB levels. “Significant” mainly referring to permanent moves involving non-org guys. Granted, moves at the very top would likely help create a ripple effect, but there could (should) be some shuffling. Who would you like to realistically see moved around?
  4. He seemed to be jumping around just fine In Rutschman’s video of him being called up. “Bruised ego?”
  5. Sounds like an extended rehab stay to me.
  6. Simple reason... Elias didn't draft Gillaspie.
  7. Depends what is torn. Surgery might not be required, but the knee might not be stable for a few weeks and then he will still need to build up the strength for lateral and explosive movements. I've twisted my knee really bad slipping on some ice and it took a little over a month to walk normally without feeling like it'll give out.
  8. I think in 2-4 years, you'll see a lot of the pitchers in Aberdeen currently either being on the main roster or being some good depth at Norfolk for some fresh bullpen/swingman arms.
  9. Forgot to update this... Houston went 5.1 innings tonight, giving up 3 hits (2 in his final third of an inning), 2 runs (both scored after he was pulled and Ricky Ramierez walked the bases loaded, then allowed a sac fly and double), 1 walk and 6 strike outs. He is currently 3-0 with 30 strike outs in 32 innings, with a 1.09 WHIP, with 11 walks. He does need to drop the walk rate, but he's been looking good this season except 1 game. The last two games, the runs have been scored against the reliever.
  10. DFA’ing Owings would have also been an option….
  11. I thought you couldn’t have more than a certain amount of pitchers?
  12. Elias is on the verge of some Orioles twitter persona pushing him in the Inner Harbor.
  13. The fan base needs to chill. They never said they were going to bring him up this series, it just got assumed. They don’t need to respond to every tweet or defend their position.
  14. Can_of_Corn already said this earlier: Rutschman finished his rehab when he came back to Norfolk. He is a minor leaguer, not a MLB'er on a rehab assignment. He can go to Bowie, but it wouldn't be a rehab, it would just be him being sent down and he would then count against the roster there.
  15. Not sure what the injuries were, but when he was with the Dodgers: Placed on IL twice in 2016 (7 days and then a little over a month) Placed on IL once in 2017 (Almost a whole month) Placed on IL once in 2018 (Little over a week)
  16. The year is 2024, Diaz finally makes it to the MLB and the Orioles hold a promo night for it: ”Free MRI with ticket stub.”
  17. Diaz was placed on the Norfolk IL due to re-injuring his hamstring.
  18. I have a feeling we will see some turnover in June. That’s usually when there is a wave of MiLB movement and I think that will work it’s way to the main roster too.
  19. Dude has spent more time on the IL than on the 40. Congrats to Bannon. Sucks about Fry, he was pitching good the last 5 appearances.
  20. Houston started again tonight. 5 innings (perfect through 4), 1 run, 1 hit, 2 walks, 6 strike outs, including the last 2 he faced.
  21. “Non-Sports Injuries”
  22. Could be waiting to see what moves other teams make and if anyone is worth taking a flyer on.
  23. Maybe he’s on a strict “throwback” count and gets pulled if he throws too many balls back to the pitcher.
