  1. Talk about a fall from grace for Adam Hall.
  2. 2023 Orioles catching legend Luis Torrens is a free agent, after refusing an assignment from the Mariners.
  3. He made it to Bowie in 2022 but spent all season out injured.
  4. Former Orioles in the World Series: Diamondbacks: Miguel Castro, Christian Walker Rangers: No one (unless you count Heim, who never made it to the big club)
  5. Considering the Rangers are the 3rd organization he's been in since the trade and it still took him 3 years since the trade to make the majors (in the COVID season too), not sure it was too obvious he was going to post a breakout season like he has. Also...If you want to know "short sighted," the Orioles traded Heim while feeling comfortable with Yermin Mercedes as his replacement in the catching department...
  6. It also helps when all your players show up to Spring Training "in the best shape they have ever been in."
  7. Food for thought, but would it still be considered that if they had won the World Series the last 3 seasons?
  8. Elias to the group before they landed in Arizona: "Go out there and make sure no one wants you in the Rule 5 draft."
  9. Maybe it was too much "Jimmy's Famous Seafood?"
  10. Rockies outright Wynns off their 40 man roster. Not the best season at the plate, but did exceptionally well behind it. Didn't realize it, but he was second in all of MLB for "caught stealing" percentage at 42%.
  11. Slightly agree. But there is a bigger difference in "5 runs in 1.2 innings" vs "5 runs over 6 innings." Really takes away some of the steam from the team.
  12. I'll do you one better. I'm not making a request. Anymore personal insults or measuring contest posts WILL result in a ban. Act like grown ups in here. If you can't, log off for a bit.
  13. Just a few of my guesses for releases/electing free agency: TJ McFarland Jose Godoy Joseph Rosa Daz Cameron Wandisson Charles Tim Susnara Gilbert Lara
  14. According to Baseball Almanac: Players who are on the disabled list or any other non-active transaction by the end of the regular season will have their transactions passed on in the postseason.

  16. Again, as stated above, he would of had to be in the organization before September 1st. So Lopez is NOT eligible, at all. Anyone else can be used as an injury or "injury" replacement, meaning someone like Means, or another pitcher or position player.
  17. Correct. Unless he was claimed and on the 40 man roster by 11:59 PM on Thursday and they took 2 days to report it, that wouldn't apply. Waivers can happen at any time. There used to be a deadline, but that was removed in 2019. Now, the only deadline is for someone to be on the postseason roster (August 31st.) As of now, he belongs to the team and they have not made a 26 man roster move yet.
  18. Correct, he can NOT compete in the playoffs. Only players who were already in the organization prior to September 1st are eligible (such as any MiLB'ers, or Means.)
  19. The bullpen called and said the cop in the bullpen just went yard off Fuji.
