Pretty sure the umpire is from the "Eric Gregg School of Plate Work." -

Must be a great game being called by the catcher he is working with. -

Wishing his bat would be even half as good. But I think he is in the top 5 for transfer and pop time and has made some really good plays at the plate. -

In slow motion, it looks like Adley’s heel catches the ground and causes his foot to bounce up a bit, just prior to the plate, before hitting Wynns’s leg. -

https://x.com/rockies/status/1695868891782697169?s=46&t=SDcNQejH2tXpowiGf7p4Vw Dangerous play. Wynns should have taken his foot off the plate if he knew it was going to be a tag play. Seen a few catchers get hit with the slide in the leg and end up injuring something. Otherwise, good play by McMahon and Wynns. That’s a tough throw to make and a tough play with someone barreling at you. Looks like Rutschman had his front leg up on the slide which might have kept him from being safe. -
No clue what you all are talking about... *Puts on sunglasses and walks away*

Unfortunately, as of a few years ago, I moved just a little too far for the trip. But I did see him when the Rockies stopped at my new state.

Some Orioles 2023 draft picks won’t pitch this year
Legend_Of_Joey replied to Sports Guy's topic in Minors
I'd rather they just get the rest of the season off to rest their arm and just concentrate on spring training, instead of trying to "ramp up" for a month of work. -
This peeked my interest because on Tuesday, Ardoin was behind the dish when Altoona stole 4 bases on him and his throws didn’t look too good.
-
Why is it so hard for people to realize that it isn’t a lock for him to be on the OD roster next season? He hasn’t played in AAA yet, which historically has been part of Elias’s plan. He also isn’t exactly at a “position of need.” He has a good to great bat, but does not have “next level” defense and isn’t displaying amazing power. There is still stuff for him to work on and develop.

Already being discussed in the Rays thread.

We aren’t going down that path.

Ok, enough fun. Back on topic. I don't care about who started what. Anymore bickering and back and forth (well, more than the usual for this site anyway...) and people will start getting all expense paid vacations to the Yankees forums. Consider this a site warning.

Looking at it again, it seems like Anderson was chirping about Jose’s slide and might of bent Jose’s right arm (it looks like it was tangled up with Anderson when Anderson went to step over him.) Either way, the real question is: Prime Odor vs Jose Ramirez: Who wins?

*Morgan Freeman voice* "Lara, in fact, did not prove it at every level."
-
Pavolony is now on the “developmental list.” Needless to say, his 2023 season isn’t going so well.
-
As a tendency when the draft picks get signed, you need to clear some room. Darwinzon is surprising, as he had a chance at the big club. But, off to Japan he goes instead. Mantecon was someone that could have just been an org guy. Lara, if I’m not mistaken, had some hype about him but couldn’t get it together.
-
While he didn’t make it to the MLB as an Oriole, former farmhand Mason McCoy just got traded by the Mariners to the Blue Jays for a pitcher. Could see a debut this season…
-
Well, it’s the same group that said Mullins would be back soon, then suddenly it’s “hopefully before the season ends.”
-
I could see Handley taking a 40 man spot and coming up during injury times to start off, then taking McCann’s spot. If McCann is doing decent, Elias could ship him off at the tail end of a trade.

Which position player will leave the roster after the ASB?
Legend_Of_Joey replied to Frobby's topic in Orioles Talk
To me, it's not as interesting now that it is limited to just one position player and one pitcher.
