Yes, a 38-year-old hitting .137 and who is last in the league in framing runs is probably the key to the franchise's success.

I have learned over the years that a good catcher is worth its weight in gold. He isn’t starting.  Just respectfully disagree here.

You can take this fwiw, Grayson Rodriguez is fine.  Heard from reputable source/s that he had some cramping and was fine post game without getting into specifics.  I was listening to post game show when I heard what happened and I started freaking out and a friend of mine, who is a podcaster, reached out to talk me off the ledge and assure me it is nothing.

    Thx for the intel!

Would he have not been injured if he was pitching in Baltimore last night?

Just frustrated:) I think I am going to focus my sports energy on the NBA Finals, should be a good one.

It's strange because just the other day I was saying to myself, "he should be up in the majors and now watch him get injured."

Yep, he should have been up by now, frustrating.

Nope, nothing is for certain. But I’m trying to imagine good scenarios here and my mind just keeps going to dark places.

Maybe they were debating to have Tommy John preemptively or to wait for the inevitable.

give it some time, they are super cautious so could be nothing.

Pulled after 63 pitches in a game he was dominating.  Only two reasons to do that and I refuse to contemplate one of them.

About time!! If healthy, he’s special. 4/5 pitches!

I don’t think people realize how little pitching we have in the minors other than the guys currently on the 40 man. There is no pitching pipeline. This is it. We draft hitting.

What we should do is take this most recent group of failed starters and convert them to full time relievers now before they are out of options. SP is going to have to come from outside the org and our relief depth isn’t that great either.

Thank you!!! And a chance Hall is a reliever. Lacy over Kerjstad but I digress.

We have two months before the deadline and things will change but right now no one is pushing Mancini for his spot,  he has a option in his contract and he wants to stay.  Elias may pick up his option if things stay as they are.

We talk about Stowers but right now he projects to hit .215 in the majors with power.  Elias may want to see improvement before he gets promoted.

In 2023 Elias has to show progress in the record.   Trading away his hitters without replacements doesn't seem to do that.

I hope you are right about Mancini!!!❤️❤️❤️🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

    He did?

What "culture" and "Special Leader" did the O's have in 2012 that they didn't have in 2011?

Those teams went from 93 losses to 93 wins with a LOT of the same players.

You need good players above all, I get it but establishing a winning culture isn’t as easy as turning a switch.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves now.....we are only a few games ahead of last years pace.  Playing some decent ball, but in no way should we give up any long term assets.

What Buck Showalter taught us was winning isn’t as simple as turning a switch, it takes a culture. And a special leader. So just because you are supposed to be good, doesn’t mean you will be good.
