Elias talked about getting him up to 100 pitches, why not do the build up at the majors?
Elias sure was quick to end that segment (and late), why not answer more questions? In think he will be recalled to baltimore for his next start.
-
He has looked sharp. My guess is he will get a look with the Os soon if he keeps pitching like this (6 k’s today).
-
I read that he would be mid to late 2nd round at this point.

I think you gotta go Druw Jones and then make things work with the comp picks. The year we took AR we still got Gunnar. Druw Jones doesn’t cost us that.

He is showing some signs of life again. Has an .845 OPS over the last 7 days and is up to .639 overall on the season.
Makes sense why Buck moved him up then.

Any thoughts on when Henderson might get promoted?

Just hit his third homer in 3 consecutive at bats, wind is blowing out but still….

Gutierrez should have been recalled by now. I never get excited about orioles SP prospects but he’s filthy.
Meant Rodriquez

Elias literally just said close to 100 is where they want him to get, having acknowledged at the start of the visit he only saw his status through five innings.
Pregame show touted 87 max pitch count in prior outing. Will he get to have some of the 7th inning?
Yep, funny timing:) Elias always seems quick to leave and avoid questions. Why couldn’t he have stayed another half inning and answer questions?

Is it me or Elias doesn’t like answering questions? He couldn’t have stayed at answered more questions?

There's a good chance Urias was playing above his head last year, but I don't think Urias is as bad as we've seen him hit this year. I don't know who replaces him in the lineup, but he needs to start hitting some.
Guterriez had a homer at Norfolk today and batting .317. Never got consistent at bats this year after a hot spring. I really like his potential and his glove is plus. I’d recall him and use Urias as utility, cut Owings.

Had a homer today and batting .317. With Urias struggles, I’d like to see Guterriez back up at 3b, Mateo at SS and Urias/Odor at 2b, best defensive infield.
Also, he’s playing 1b today as an fyi.

Bases loaded, can we get the big hit?
Urias doesn’t look like the same player:( like him too, hope he figures it out, we desperately need his bat.

Full disclaimer: I thought this was an awful pick when it happened but had looked much better at the plate at Bowie last year. However, at Norfolk he looks completely overmatched. And no idea why he is batting 2nd, yikes. But I trust Buck Britton so trust his decision making.

Had a 3 run bomb today!

Martin up to .289 with 2 more hits today and looks good at the plate.

Yeah. Is it possible we see two position players pitch? Who?

So we finally run into a situation where we might be able to use Chris Davis, and he's sitting at home, or on a beach somewhere, and unavailable.
Yep. I am sure Elias is heartbroken it can’t be Matt Harvey.

At times he overthrows his pitches but I think it's something that gets better with experience.
Ceiling: 3rd starter/floor a good reliever?

Baker seems shakey to me. His ERA is a little higher than I would expect based on his MiLB stats
Agreed. Ben McDonald clearly thinks he is superstar from the telecasts though.

I like how we have younger managers, strongly applaud that. Moore is another promising manager along with Britton imo.
