  1. He’s not going to be an Oriole past 2024 anyway
  2. Guys guys. We definitely need to move this thread to the minor league forum for the final month he will likely ever be in the minors. This forum will go to chaos if we start confusing our major leaguers and minor leaguers. Every post in this thread at the moment should be redacted.
  3. I feel like it was just two days ago I was told “OmG it’s just Oakland,Gunnar has struggled lately he’s not actually that good let’s pump the brakes”. Oh wait, it was.
  4. I look at it as a success between him and Webb. If we had Fuji for more years we could probably figure it out but I’m not sure it will happen this year.
  5. Gunnar is -200 on DK, with Yoshida +300. So they don't think it's particularly close right now.
  6. I'm really excited to get the potential extra pick if Gunna gets ROY. Elias will turn it into a everyday player.
  7. I think Ohtani stays on the West Coast. Hopefully the Giants and not the Dodgers.
  8. Reminder this kid is 22 years old and hasn't even played (the equivalent) of a full season yet.
  9. Mullins really does make a big difference for this offense.
  10. I think he would excel and be a weapon as a multi inning relief guy, if we are lucky enough to have 5 starters better than him in the near future.
  11. I think Hays, Mountcastle, and Santander are all more of the present than the future of the O's.
  12. If we weren't always cute putting misfits in the OF or forcing Frazier into the field than we'd be in the top 10 range I think. As in, our best fielding lineup is pretty good but that's usually not who's out there.
  13. Exactly what I meant when I said we hopefully won't be relying on him in future years. I.E. if we hit on some younger guys that come up (and FA's), Kremer would be odd man out or truly the #5 starter that can be pulled for someone else very quickly. I think everyone would agree his stuff is not overpowering, he is going to have smoke and mirror his way as a MLer. You're glad to have a guy like Kremer, but at the same time he's hopefully not a written-in-stone-starter for you.
  14. Yea as much as we are of course rooting for him, he's hopefully not someone we are relying on in future years.
  15. He's slashing 180/291/396 in the second half. 638 OPS. I hope he finishing strong and we can trade him in the offseason like I've wanted.
  16. I feel like Westburg hits a ball to that exact spot every game.
  17. That transition could work out perfect with Mullins, if Bradfield get's called up in 2025 and then takes over full time CF in 2026 when Mullins walks.
  18. He reminds me of Jason Kipnis, although I think Westburg will be a tad better fielder.
  19. The real hope was that even if he has a horrific first inning like last night, he can at least pitch his way through to the 5th. A guy who can't get past the 3rd is a problem. Any run of the mill ML pitcher can get you 3 crappy innings. Let's hope that type of game isn't something to expect again.
  20. Granted he only played a handful of games in the minors there, I think he could easily be a respectable corner outfielder if we needed to fit him into the lineup. I feel like things will work itself out though. Inevitably someone will be hurt or need a day off. With the DH and potentially a corner outfield spot, we can have all four of Gunnar/Westburg/Ortiz/Holliday get full time reps if we so desire.
  21. Means is the only one that makes sense. I think Flaherty will be too expensive. Edit- If we can get Flaherty for like 3/45 I'd do it. But will Angelos even give a green light for that small amount of money? Instead of going year to year with the Gibsons and Lyles of the world for 1/10 spend a little more and lock down a much better pitcher for the next 3 years.
  22. No SD hitter was ever comfortable today. And it includes a handful of guys that can win an MVP.
  23. This is usually where we go to the bullpen and blow the lead.
