  1. I'm confused, seems to me you're making a contradicting statement....We need all the pitching we can get with all our pitchers approaching new highs in innings pitched so I don't see us going to a 12 man staff... Colton Cowser gets sent down on Monday when Hicks comes off the IL, doing so well keep his Rookie status intact for next year and allows him a reset
  2. I don't think we will see Holliday this year but this would be my fantasy lineup for the playoffs this year 1 Holliday 2B 2 Rutschman C 3 Henderson SS 4 Santander RF 5 Mountcastle DH 6 O'Hearn 1B 7 Hays LF 8 Mullins CF 9 Westburg 3B Kjerstad, Hicks, Frazier, Urias, McCann
  3. Well we all might change our minds about Mateo if he gets on another heater at the end of September and carries us through the WS.....lol... I can hear the chants of MVP like we heard in the fools month of April....lol.... I surely don't want him on another contending team getting hot against us in the playoffs
  4. He's already on the 40 man roster so he is eligible for the playoffs
  5. There is no I in Team !!!!! Chemistry and great management can go a long way in a team sport and this team has both...They give 110% and they're having fun and that's why they have 35 come from behind wins with the second best record in the game
  6. I knew he would hit, however I was down on his defense at 3rd and I even said he wasn't a 3rd baseman and maybe he should be sent down to learn 1B... I'll eat Crow...lol... He'll be just fine with more experience, I believe he's really good at the balls he chases but reaction plays to the bag side has given him some problems but that's to be expected since he's been a SS all his life....In my defense We have Mayo, and Holliday coming fast with no 1B option in the system so Mayo and Kjerstad should be splitting time at 1B and their natural position
  7. I'm predicting Gary Matthews JR 99-63
  8. I would overpay.... He would give us a advantage not just with his talent but a rules advantage because having him allows a team to carry 13 pitchers plus him.... He would be a perfect addison so we could go to a 6 man staff and limit innings for our starters and still keep a 8 man bullpen if needed.... Cowser and Hall and a couple lower level prospect to sweeten the deal should be more than enough and our future is still in great shape..... He really want to win so we could gain a advantage on signing him after we win the WS... Advantage Advantage Advantage we need all we can get 8 years for 400 million ....
  9. We definitely need to acquire at least a #2 or #3 starter to eat some innings because Wells and Rodriguez has already thrown more innings than last year so they'll need moved to the pen to limit innings....middle relief solved.... Also Kremer and Bradish will likely need to skip a start or two so they'll be fresh for October and not well over their previous years innings total...Gibson and Irving need to stay in the rotation to eat innings.... We also need at least one more starter to get us to September and then we can ramp Wells and Rodriguez pitch count back up to get them ready to start in the playoffs if needed
  10. I can't see how we could replace Hays unless I'm missing something because I don't believe we have any right hand hitting outfielders with his skill set in our system We have no right hand hitting outfielders in our system with Hays' skill set to replace him....
  11. Really no player is untouchable it's all about value... I'll take 200 dollar bills all day long for a hundred dollar bill..
  12. I think we will trade from our MLB roster and Santander is the most expendable that has value.....I would look to trade him with a package to a team that needs offense like The Brewers or Cleveland for Bieber or Burnes...... My Untouchable List Rutschman, Holliday, Henderson, Cowser, Kjerstad, Mayo, Westburg, Hays, Mullins, Rodriguez, Bradish, Wells, Bautista, Cano My Line-up 2024 1) Holliday - SS 2) Rutschman - C 3) Henderson - 3B 4) Mayo - 1B 5) Kjerstad - DH 6) Hays - LF 7) Cowser - RF 8 ) Westburg - 2B 9) Mullins - CF
  13. Correction: Not sure of draft pick order however Seattle got the 29th pick last year and 2.5 million in bonus pool money
  14. Read and learn about Prospect Promotion Incentives and it may give you a clue on Elias's strategy on promoting top 100 prospects.....ROY = 29th draft pick and bonus pool money or a draft pick if they finish in the top three in MVP or CY before they are arbitration eligible....but they need 172 days of service time as a rookie to qualify for any compensation
  15. I like your Idea but I believe we can do better if St. Louis is going to retool we should try a blockbuster deal and get Arenado and Montgomery also....Mountcastle, Stowers, Westburg, Ortiz, Wagner, Rom and Armbruester and I may throw in a couple low level prospects if they give me a window to extend Goldy and Montgomery and eat some salary 1-Mullins-CF 2-Rutschman-C 3-Goldschmidt-1B 4-Santander-RF 5-Arenado-3B 6-Henderson-SS 7-Hays-LF 8-O'Hearn-DH 9-Urias-2B..... Holliday's position next year Bench: McCann, Frazier, Mateo, Hicks My Lineup Wins..
  16. LOL......I wasn't really attacking anyone directly and I have no concerns on the bullpen management......I'm not going to lie here lmfao !!!! but it seems to me your always attacking people directly and you get away with it because your a Administrator ( power trip ) so everyone lets it slid..... However I am sorry for not using Punctuations but I didn't know I was being graded so if it's a tough read then don't read it... but I'm more sorry for your superiority complex... SMH
  17. Talking about hollering before your hurt...LOL...our bullpen is tied for the most wins at 16 and have the most SVO at 33 and they have the 6th best ERA at 3.44 and that's the only reason we are 15 game above 500 and we're 9th in Innings pitched but we do have 9 losses as a bullpen but that could be a lot worse considering we only have 3 guys that has pitched consistent which is why Hyde has a short leash but I'm sure if he left some of those middle relievers in longer and we lost 8 or 10 more of them SVO you all would at least think he was managing the bullpen correctly.... SMH.....
  18. I believe we need two players... I'm taking Mussina and Murray to hit in the middle of the line-up or we could go out and get Shohei Ohtani when the Angels fall out of the wildcard race 1) Ohtani 2) Means 3) Wells 4) Bradish 5) Rodriguez 1) Mullins 2) Rutschman 3) Ohtani 4) Santander 5) Mountcastle 6) Henderson 7) Hays 8 ) Fraizer 9) Mateo I think I'll go out and buy some stock in MASN because they will be expanding big time into Asia.... Signing Ohtani to 500 million would be a no brainer for someone that owned exclusive rights of the broadcasts for the team that he will be playing for
  19. Henderson is definitely not a 3rd baseman but for some reason we play our GG 3rd baseman at first who makes that play easily...with Mateo and Holliday on the way Henderson is blocked at his beat position so maybe he should be sent down to learn how to play first or 2nd base
  20. He is 26 and only has 1300 ab's so he has time to figure it out before he starts to age....Of course he's not a all star but he is a good player and I'll take a 260 AVG and 310 OBP with 25 to 30 HR's while he's trying to figure it out because I understand there's a slim margin from being a good to above average player....I don't believe he's had enough at bats to think that he's trending in the wrong direction
  21. Yes I understand that he needs to take out some off the swing and miss and lower his chase rate but you can't tell me he doesn't have a problem with bad luck with 203 BABIP
  22. You would think it would be the other way around because nerds know the #'s but most look threw a glass that is half empty instead of half full when we know the difference of being a below average player to being a good player or a great player is slim... If I was a nerd I would calculate some good luck into Mountcastles #'s and give him 1 more hit and 1 more walk a week and see how good his #'s could be if he had a little luck.... I would also like to do that with Mateo's stats last year and see what that would've added to his #'s and overall war but I'm not nerdy/smart enough...
  23. Calhoun's minor league career offensively is why you don't give unproven minor leaguers a roster spot over a proven player like Frazier or Mateo especially on a team looking to compete because alot of players can't transfer them aaa #'s to the Majors although Calhoun had great #'s in the superball 2019 MLB season and that's why he's still hanging around as a 4th round pick
  24. Can't tell if your being sarcastic or if you were smoking the peace pipe with Cal today....LOL... I believe the plan is to make a playoff push this year so it makes no sense to move a player that is off to a MVP caliber start and replace him with a prospect that is unproven and isn't close to being a sure thing.....The way he is playing it would be hard to move him if Holliday was kicking the door in but I may try a unproven guy if we could get a Corbin Burns type only because we have a fall back plan with Henderson and Urias at 3rd
