First rate idiocy. The logic behind this statement baffles me. So he is basically saying that a low income team shouldn't take offense at shady play because of a ssytem set up by a third entity altogether. Maybe they should jsut contract the low income teams for Steinbrenner.

Better yet, let's just put the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, and Dodgers in their own league where they don't have to play any of the teams "beneath" them.

The "lowly" Rays went 8-10 against the "mighty" Yanks last year and the Rays are likely better while the Yanks are just one year older. Their fight in ST sets up a nice rivalry that won't be as one-sided as people think.
