The most frustrating part is that with the new system, you don't have to give outrageous money to get the top international prospects.  These bonuses are the same as 1st and 2nd round picks get.  We can give an 18 year old Canadian shortstop 1.3M, but won't do it for any of these prospects?  $37M for Trumbo is fine, but $1M for a high upside/high risk prospect is too much??

It is frustrating. Don't know if that's just on DD or if he is being led by Angelos on this?

I'm just assuming it's an ownership decision, because I'm hoping Dan is smart enough to realize he's ignoring a huge pool of talent that isn't as expensive as it once was.

I think this organization passes by a perfect opportunity to help the farm system out on a yearly basis.

FYI, our Bonus Pool for the international signing period is $5,750,000. So it's not like we'd have to go into the penalty zone to sign some top guys.
