This list doesn't mention either Takahashi or Igarashi, two arms that I really think we need to go after. Between Koji, JJ and Igarashi I think we could have a strong bullpen next season.

Just because Koji didn't pan out as a starter doesn't mean we should stop pushing the Japanese market. Japanese relieft pitchers have a strong track record of success when they come to MLB.

Perhaps...But hey, that's why we got Arrieta. :D

I think this is a valid point. The pitching depth allows AM to make a high reward type calculation. If theses guys stay healthy and pitch to capability (big ifs), our pitching would be very strong. If these guys go down with injury, Arrieta is able to step into the rotation. I really don't see the downside.

The difference in defense between Beltre and Wigginton is measured in light years.

Blalock vs. Wiggy, eh, I guess some people like Blalock more offensively. I haven't looked at the stats on that comparison.

Blalock kills Wigginton with the bat. When he's hitting against righties in Arlington. Otherwise he's not a heck of a lot better than Izturis.

It would be so nice to get Beltre on a 1 year deal...but I don't see him signing one with us and I don't see AM giving him more than 1 year.

Go get Harden though.

With his defense, I won't be surprised if he is the guy AM really wants. He might be persuaded to sign a high-incentive one-year deal, without an option. Otherwise I guess he'll want three years.

And yes, Harden please.

The same could be said of Delgado and Nick Johnson with Snyder at the threshold.

I woud realy like to bring in Harden and/or Bdard. I highly doubt we will sign both. However if we can get one of them then we will be in good shape. Although Guts struggled this year he still gets a spot in our rotation, despite his higher era this year he consistently got into the 6th inning. With our young starters an possibility of high injury proned starters we need a starter that will bring us some conistantly, I am not saying he needs to be our ace, but this team lacks a consistent starter who can eat innings.

As for ou 3B situation, I would rather have Wiggington play the roe of stop gap. There is really little difference in offensive numbers between Wiggington and Beltre, in fact when Wiggington started recieving consistent playing time he started to be very productive with a .292 average after the all star break. If FO decides to make Wiggington the 3B, than they must be expecting Bell to be in the majors by the all star break. If they do end up signing Beltre than they must be expecting Bell to take more than a half of a year in AAA.
